RCA Joins Roku TV Licensing Program

The RCA Roku TVs are expected to be available this summer and will provide consumers with an easy-to-use smart TV, including access to 5,000 channels and 450,000 movies and TV episodes.

The Flying Circus’ Silly Seasons to Head to North America

Breakthrough Entertainment secured distribution rights to the animated comedy for kids ages 8 to 12 that revolves around four girls that live in the fantasy world of Sillyville.

Level-5 abby Inc. has been formed to bring the best of Japanese children’s entertainment to global platforms and channels.

“Level-5 has built its reputation on developing broadly popular, family-oriented and heartwarming titles, including Professor Layton, Inazuma Eleven, Ni No Kuni, and Little Battlers eXperience,” says Akihiro Hino, the president and CEO.

Products inspired by these titles, such as the Yo-Kai watch, are then launched across retail in gaming, TV, toys, publishing, events, the Internet, and social channels.

Level-5 abby Inc. is funded by Japanese entertainment and advertising giants such as Level-5 Inc. and Dentsu Inc.

eOne Expands Peppa Pig in France

Entertainment One Licensing is expanding the Peppa Pig preschool series in France with new broadcasting and licensing deals. The show premieres today on the French Nick Jr. channel and will broadcast in blocks of four episodes three times a day. It has already been airing on France 5’s preschool block Zouzous since February.

Giochi, which distributes Peppa Pig toys in Italy, will also become eOne’s toy partner in France. The company’s line of play sets, plush, and figurines will hit the shelves this fall. In addition, the Hachette Group will create a line of story, novelty, and activity books that will launch this summer.
