Turner, The Maj Group to Open Cartoon Network Entertainment Park in Bali

Turner_Maj_CartoonNetworkBaliParkTurner Asia Pacific partnered with the Indonesian real-estate and hospitality investment company The Maj Group to develop an entertainment park in Bali. The family destination will have a Cartoon Network theme, and feature the island’s largest water park and an indoor entertainment center.

Turner Appoints New Country Manager For Philippines

She will scale Turner’s Kids and Entertainment business in the Philippines, which includes developing local content opportunities, creating greater consumer experiences, and expanding the brands’ fan-base.

Salindong-Du will also support ad-sales, and operate in tandem with the consumer products and licensing team for Cartoon Network. Cartoon Network Appoints New Head of Licensing and Consumer Products in APAC Region

CartoonNetwork_VikramSharmaTurner Asia Pacific appointed Vikram Sharma as vice president of Cartoon Network Enterprises (CNE) for licensing and merchandising division in the Asia Pacific region. Sharma will be responsible for driving sales for branded toys, apparel, home entertainment, publishing, and lifestyle products, including live events and themed entertainment.

This will include franchises and IP under CNE’s management from the Cartoon Network portfolio of shows, as well as Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty. He’ll also be responsible for the management of Tuzki, the digital IP and emoticon of choice in China and beyond. In South Asia, Turner acts as a representative for Warner Bros. Consumer Products. Six Flags, Riverside, Turner Partner for Branded Experiences at Theme Parks in China

Tuzki-SixFlags_TurnerSix Flags Entertainment Corp., Riverside Investment Group Co. Ltd., and Turner Asia Pacific partnered for new branded experiences to Six Flags parks throughout China.

The first addition will be a Tuzki dark ride at Six Flags Zhejiang and Six Flags Chongqing, which are scheduled to open in 2019 and 2020, respectively. Turner Asia Pacific Invests in Pops Worldwide

TurnerLogoTurner Asia Pacific  invested in POPS Worldwide, which gives the company a significant minority stake in the digital entertainment company. This agreement extends Turner’s existing partnership with POPS.

Turner’s Boomerang brand launched in Vietnam last April on Pops Kids, bringing kids international animations dubbed in Vietnamese. POPS also manages Vietnam’s top YouTube channel and POPS Music. The company expanded the video network to Daily Motion and Facebook and launched a POPS Kids app.

IMDA, Cartoon Network Launch Imagination Studios in Singapore

Turner_DanielChongTurner’s Cartoon Network will have a two-day Imagination Studios workshop in Singapore as part of a global initiative to inspire the next generation of storytellers and creators. Imagination Studios is a global initiative by Cartoon Network that inspires kids to get involved in publishing their own content.

Cartoon Network will showcase Save the Light and OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes through PAX East. Save the Light is a RPG console game and sequel to the 2015 mobile title Attack the Light. The Powerpuff Girls Toy Line Launches in the UK

PowerPuffGirls_DeluxeStoryMakerThe revival of Cartoon Network’s franchise The Powerpuff Girls made a debut  across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) last April. As London Toy Fair prepares to open its doors, Cartoon Network details the UK launch plans for the new The Powerpuff Girls range from global toy partner Spin Master.

Argos debuted the initial rollout this month, including the Story Maker play set and plush from its online catalogue. The launch is supported by a TV and digital campaign.
