Sesame Workshop Names New Licensing Agents for UK, Eire, and Benelux


Sesame Workshop partnered with Bulldog Licensing for the UK and Eire and J&M Brands for the Benelux.

The agencies will oversee Sesame Street’s consumer products portfolio, build retail relationships, and work with local licensees to create cross-promotional activations in the respective territories. They will also manage collaboration partnerships for the brand’s 50th anniversary in 2019.


Sesame Street Content Debuts on iQIYI

Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit educational organization behind Sesame Street, launched its first branded Sesame Street section on iQIYI, China’s largest online video platform.

The Sesame Street section, which debuted this month, features exclusive seasons of Sesame Street, The Furchester HotelSmart CookiesSuper Grover 2.0, Abby’s Flying Fairy School, and Super Healthy Monsters. Now, for the first time in China, audiences can enjoy Sesame Street programs in English as well as Mandarin.

Sesame Workshop, Uniqlo Partner for Kaws x Sesame Street Collection

SesameWorkshop_Kaws_UniqloSesame Workshop partnered with Uniqlo for Kaws x Sesame Street UT. The collection features a unique take from contemporary artist Kaws on characters from the children’s TV series and will debut June 29.

Sesame Street will celebrate its 50th anniversary next year more offerings and partnerships.


Vewd, Kaltura Partner for Sesame Street App

VewdKaltura_SesameStreetSesame Workshop launched a new Sesame Street streaming TV app for Vewd-enabled connected TV devices. The app features content from the 48 seasons of the TV series, and includes dedicated sections to Sesame Street characters. The new app is available on connected TV devices from Sony, Samsung, HiSense, Tivo, Vestel, and many more.

The new app was built in partnership by Vewd and Kaltura. Kaltura added compatibility with Vewd Snap, the app creation and distribution tool. Vewd Snap features a full HTML5 TV app, complete with a turnkey user experience and light customization options.

Corus Entertainment’s Nelvana to Partner with Sesame Workshop in Canada

sesame streetCorus Entertainment’s Nelvana is partnering with Sesame Workshop, the non-profit educational organization behind the children’s program, Sesame Street. Nelvana will exclusively broadcast Sesame Street and Sesame Studios’ content in Canada on Corus’ Treehouse, and across the network’s non-linear platforms.

Nelvana will also represent Sesame Street within the Canadian licensed consumer products community. New content will include all-new seasons of Sesame Street, beginning with Season 46 and moving onto Season 47, as well as episodes of Elmo’s World, Abby’s Flying Fairy School, and more than 50 pieces of additional short-form broadcast content from Sesame Studios, the all-new YouTube destination for kids from the makers of Sesame Street, including Scribble Tales, Nursery Rhyme Remixes, and Tater & Tot.

Sesame Street Launches New Fashion Collections for Asia Market

Lalabob_sesame streetSesame Street expanded its fashion and lifestyle offerings with new apparel and accessory collections in Asia. The lines will feature collections from Lalabobo, B.Duck, Tyakasha, and :Chocolate.

Lalabobo introduced a collection earlier this year and the rest of the collections will debut this month and include B. Duck for T-shirts, sweatshirts, and pants; Tyakasha for apparel, lunch boxes, umbrellas, and mobile phone cases; and :Chocolate for T-shirts, hoodies, and tote bags.

Sesame Workshop, Hopster Partner for Short-Form Episodes

SesameStreet_HopsterHopster partnered with Sesame Workshop to feature Sesame Street content on its platform in North America and the UK.
