Play London with Mr Bean is an interactive mobile Match-3 game with geo-location features, starring an animated Mr Bean character visiting scores of tourist attractions in central and outer London. Launching later this year on iOS and Android the game will engage with visitors to the city and help them discover London’s hidden tourist gems, the city’s cultural sights, and gourmet food destinations.

Players will be able to pick up vouchers, which they can cash in for discounts when they are in London, and find bonus offers on locations around the city, including free Wi-Fi, hotel room rates, and discounts at famous visitor attractions.

New Shopkins Feature Set for October Release

shopkinsThe second movie in the Shopkins franchise Shopkins: World Vacation will be released this October by the Universal Pictures Home Entertainment Content Group.

The film follows the release of the first Shopkins movie, Shopkins: Chef Club. The new film brings the Shoppies and Shopkins out of Shopville on a vacation won by Kooky Cookie. When she takes her friends to London, they encounter the Biscuit Bandits and are thrust into an adventure across London, Paris, and Tokyo.

Alexander Armstrong to Host 2015 Licensing Awards

Comedian, actor, quiz show and television presenter Alexander Armstrong is to host The Licensing Awards 2015, which will take place on September 15th in The Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.

Alexander is perhaps best known as one half of comedy duo Armstrong and Miller and host of the popular BBC game show Pointless. Currently the voice of Danger Mouse in the revival of the 1980’s animated series on CBBC, he also voices the characters of Mr. Wolf and Policeman Stag in Peppa Pig.

Ian Hyder, director of The Licensing Awards and The Licensing Source Book (which owns and organizes the Awards) commented: “Alexander Armstrong is the perfect host for The Awards, a charming comedian at the top of his game who will be sure to make it a night to remember!”

The Moomins Come to Covent Garden for Tove Jansson’s Birthday

July24 moominOne hundred years ago, Tove Jansson, the creator of the Moomins, was born. A number of UK venues, such as the Institute of Contemporary Arts and the Polka Children’s Theatre have been staging special events, shows, and readings, all culminating in Moomin Summer Fun, a big Moomin party in Covent Garden.

On August 9 and 10, Moomin fans are invited to London’s Covent Garden for a weekend of fun, music, stories, and more. Children’s writer Philip Ardagh, author of the Eddie Dickens books, will read excerpts from some of his favorite Moomin books to a live audience. Benny Törnroos will also be among the guests appearing during the weekend. There will be a Moomin puppet performance of selections and songs from the Polka Theatre’s Moomin Summer Madness show, as well as face painting and personal appearances by the Moomins.
