King Features Partners With New Global Agents for Cuphead

ch_mm_cover_ltd[2][2]King Features partnered with four new global agents for Studio MDHR’s video game, Cuphead. Allsorts Licensing (UK and Republic of Ireland), BN Licensing (Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg), Premium Licensing (Italy), and Copyrights Asia (Japan) will expand the reach of the franchise outside of the U.S.

The new partnerships feature products ranging from apparel, accessories, costumes, and home décor. Current partners in the U.S. include Funko, Accutime, Fifth Sun, Dark Horse Comics, Underboss, and Just Funky.

Wildbrain, King Features to Produce Original Popeye Content for Youtube

Wildbrain_PopeyeKing Features Syndicate entered an agreement with WildBrain to manage and produce original Popeye content on YouTube. This marks the first agreement for original Popeye content in more than 10 years, leading to a reimagination of the brand ahead of its 90th anniversary next year.

WildBrain will have worldwide management rights for the Popeye and Friends Official YouTube Channel, and will work with King Features to enhance existing programming. King Features to Expand Merchandising Program for Cuphead Game

CupheadKing Features Syndicate, the official licensor of Studio MDHR’s Cuphead property, introduced a merchandising program inspired by the game, featuring apparel, accessories, costumes, home décor, and more.

Merchandise from Funko, Accutime, Fifth Sun, Dark Horse Comics, Underboss, and Just Funky will begin to rollout at retail and continue throughout this year. Additional partners include Sunstaches for traditional and novelty sunglasses; Artovision for shadowbox art, desktop art, and postcards, available worldwide; Marketing Instincts Inc. for consoles, controllers, charging stands, and more in the U.S.; Hpynotic Hats for socks and hosiery in the U.S. and Canada; elope Inc. for costumes, cold weather accessories, socks, and jewelry; and NTD Apparel for activewear, sleepwear, and swimwear for adults and kids

Betty Boop Brand to Expand Globally

betty boopKing Features, the worldwide licensing agent for Betty Boop proprietor Fleischer Studios, will create more than a dozen deals in new territories worldwide, and new categories including sportswear, fine arts, and home décor.

Most recently, Betty Boop presented the design challenge on an episode of Project Runway All-Stars and was at the forefront of the all-inclusive fashion collection Betty Boop X Project Runway All-Stars, presented by Torrid. Territories where new deals will launch include in the U.S., Asia, European Union territories, and South America.

King Features, Spirit of Cadeau Launch Betty Boop, Popeye Pre-Paid Cards

The new gift cards may be loaded in increments of 20€ to 250€, and may be used all at once or at several times until all of the money is spent. The deal with Spirit of Cadeau was brokered by Biplano, the King Features licensing agent in France.

 

Popeye Sails Into Joyrich with New Fashion Collaboration

popeyefashioncollectionLos Angeles-based brand Joyrich and King Features partnered for a Popeye apparel collection.

Generation-X, the ‘90s-themed line, launched in August and includes unisex jackets, sweaters,  hoodies, sweatshirts, turtlenecks, rugby shirts, and T-shirts; accessories include socks, caps, totes, clutches, and iPhone cases.

King Features has announced that the first official Betty Boop online store has launched in Japan by Myatt Inc., in a deal brokered by King’s agent, Copyrights Asia Ltd.

King Features is the exclusive worldwide licensing agent for Betty Boop, working closely with Fleischer Studios to keep Betty entertaining millions of fans and collectors around the globe.

Myatt, an experienced operator of licensed e-tail stores, launched the site in conjunction with the publication of a special Betty Boop commemorative magazine published through Sanrio and Gakken.

The store, www.bettyboop-shop.jp, offers a variety of Betty Boop accessory, cosmetic and gift products from Sanrio and other Japanese licensees, including a selection of items from the new Betty Boop and Shinzi Katoh design and brand collaboration.
