DHX to Premiere Mega Man: Fully Charged This Summer, Signs Master Toy Licensee Jakks Pacific

DHX_MegaManDHX Media will premiere its new animated series Mega Man: Fully Charged, an original co-production with Dentsu Entertainment USA Inc. The series is based on the Capcom Mega Man video game franchise.

Beginning Aug. 5, the show will air every Sunday on Cartoon Network in the U.S. 10 episodes will also be available on the Cartoon Network app and TV providers’  VOD and on-demand streaming platforms in the U.S. The series will make its Canadian debut on DHX Television’s Family Channel in the fall. Jakks Pacific, Paramount Pictures Partner for Creepy Crawlers Film

Jakks_CreepyCrawlersParamount Players acquired the film rights to Jakks Pacific’s Creepy Crawlers toy brand.

Neal H. Moritz and Marc Gurvitz will produce the film, and Toby Ascher and Stephen Berman will serve as executive producers. Ali Bell and Royce Reeves-Darby will oversee the prpject for Paramount Players,

Production of the film is subject to the conclusion of definitive production agreements among the parties.

Solo: A Star Wars Story Product Lands at Retail

LEGO_StarWarsKesselRunMillenniumFalconLucasfilm debuted collections inspired by the latest Star Wars film, Solo: A Star Wars Story, which premieres in theaters on May 25. The cross-category assortment features action figures, role-play products, apparel, with comic and book titles launching next month.

Jakks Pacific, Stanley Black & Decker Extend Partnership

jakksJakks Pacific Inc. extended and expanded its licensing agreement with Stanley Black & Decker Inc., for the Black & Decker and Stanley brands.

Jakks will continue to exclusively manufacture, market, and distribute Black & Decker branded kids role-play tool toys to all retail channels. A new program will also be introduced, featuring Stanley-branded kids products, including toy hand and power tools and toy workbenches. All products will be available at Walmart in the US and Canada this holiday season.

Jakks Pacific, Bay Tek Games to Develop Home Version of Popular Arcade Game

jakksBay Tek Games partnered with Jakks Pacific to develop and launch a home version of its ticket redemption arcade game Pull My Finger. The new game will be featured exclusively at Toys “R” Us this December, and be available to all retailers beginning next spring.

Disguise Launches Minecraft Costume Line

Disguise_MinecraftDisguise Inc.—the Halloween costume division of JAKKS Pacific Inc.— launched the first Minecraft costumes and accessories collection. The line is available now at retailers nationwide. The costumes and accessories are based on characters from Minecraft, the sandbox video game where players mine and craft 3-D blocks in a world of varied biomes and terrain.

The costumes feature characters such as Steve, Alex, and Creeper. Full sets of diamond Minecraft Armor are also available. The pants and tunic are inspired by the game’s 3-D blocky aesthetic, with range of motion designed for trick-or-treating. The long-sleeve tunic features detailed character artwork on the front and print coverage on the back. The half-masks include a mesh eye-plate and a foam insert designed for comfort and range of vision.

Accessories are also available, including the Minecraft Sword and Minecraft Pickaxe. The line is available in child sizes 4 to 6, 7 to 8, and 10 to 12 at retailers nationwide.

eOne Expands Consumer Products Program for PJ Masks

eOne_PJMasks_JakksEntertainment One (eOne) expands its consumer products program for PJ Masks, including new ride-ons, bicycles, safety helmets, and more debuting this fall and into early 2018.

PJ Masks gear hitting retail nationwide includes the Catboy Cat-Car and Gekko Mobile ride-ons from Jakks Pacific. These custom sculpted, kid-powered vehicles come with flashing lights, sound effects, and play the PJ Masks theme song. Jakks Pacific Signs Global Master Toy Agreement for Disney•Pixar’s Incredibles 2

jakksJakks Pacific Inc. has entered into a multi-year, global master toy licensing deal with Disney Consumer Products for Disney•Pixar‘s Incredibles 2. The deal also includes master toy rights for the 2004 film The Incredibles.

Under the terms of the worldwide agreement, JAKKS will manufacture, market, and distribute action figures and accessories, including mini-figures and collectible figures, play sets, interactive toys, preschool toys, role-play and dress-up accessories, novelty toys, radio control toy vehicles, toy vehicles including die-cast and plastic, as well as associated play sets.
