King Features Announces Licensees for Range Based on Cuphead Video Game

CupHead_Mugman_VinylFigure_King Features announced new licensees to support the retail launch based on the StudioMDHR Cuphead video game. The initial lineup will feature a range of categories including, collectibles, digital products, apparel, and limited-edition art prints.

Funko will feature a full range of Cuphead collectibles, including vinyl toys, plush, apparel, and digital products. The initial launch will feature the collectible vinyl toys and will be revealed in an exclusive New York Comic Con Exclusive 2-Pack release this month. Marvel Launches Daredevil, The Punisher, Jessica Jones, and Deadpool Merchandise for Adult Fans

Marvel began rolling out its merchandising and retail plans for popular anti-heroes and vigilantes Daredevil, The Punisher, Jessica Jones, and Deadpool.

Additional launches targeting teens and adults are planned for January, including apparel, collectibles, and action figures. Diamond Select, Funko, Sideshow, Kotobukiya, and NECA will launch collectibles, Hasbro will add Marvel Legends collector figures, and Hot Wheels will unveil collectible die-cast vehicles next fall.

Mad Engine, C-Life, Hybrid, Freeze, Fifth Sun, Silver Buffalo, and Bioworld will launch men’s and women’s apparel, accessories, footwear, bags, home goods, and drinkware. The merchandising programs will be rounded with collector plush, stationery, consumer electronics, novelties, and Marvel Comics editions that feature backstories of the superheroes.

Additionally, Hot Topic will launch an in-store and online Deadpool campaign in February. Walmart, JCPenney, Spencer’s, Party City, and Kohl’s will provide in-store and online support. Amazon will expand on its toy and apparel offerings and CafePress will launch Jessica Jones-inspired merchandise for men and women.

Epic Rights Partners with Several North American Licensees for KISS Apparel Lines

August18.KissEpic Rights has finalized agreements with Hybrid Apparel, Fifth Sun, Impact Apparel, Junk Food, and Signorelli in the U.S. and Xtreme Worldwide, Philcos, and Trevco Inc. in Canada to create and deliver a new KISS apparel line. The line is intended to have diverse audience appeal, from youth to adults, and will be available at retailers everywhere across North America. Initial lines will be available this fall, with the majority launching next spring.

The apparel will include T-shirts, fashion tops, hoodies, loungewear, and accessories. It features new artwork inspired by iconic imagery from KISS throughout the years, including band photos, album covers, tour poster art, and new logo development.

Epic Rights will also launch a social media campaign targeting KISS Army fans who pledge their support to KISS, their licensees, and retailers.

Brandgenuity Signs Four New Licensees for Gas Monkey Garage

Gas Monkey Garage has chosen Brandgenuity to develop and execute a strategic licensing program for the brand. The program includes with anchor licensees Fifth Sun for apparel; Concept One for headwear and accessories; H3 for headwear, and JCorp for apparel in Canada.

The brand will continue to expand as a lifestyle brand, including after-market auto accessories, apparel, accessories, gifts, home goods, lottery, slot machines, and more.

Rovio Entertainment Expands Consumer Products

Rovio Entertainment has announced the expanded licensing agreement for Angry Birds with Hasbro Inc. Rovio Entertainment also announced new partners who will compliment Rovio’s existing partner base of more than 500 companies.

Power A will develop a full line of mobile and video game accessories; Thermos will develop a line of hydration and storage containers; Pez will sell collectible candy dispensers; Natrol will create multivitamins for kids and families; and Gemmy Industries will add Angry Birds-themed Airblown inflatables and Halloween costumes to this year’s product lineup. Returning partners will include Amscan and Fifth Sun, Rovio’s premiere apparel partner, and Accessory Innovations.
