Tee and Mo to Air Two Animated Music Videos This Month

Screen Shot 2018-02-12 at 10.55.23 AMTee and Mo will premier two new animated music videos on BBC iPlayer on Feb. 12 and on the Cbeebies channel on Feb. 14. The new songs will feature the voice of BBC Radio 6 Music DJ Lauren Laverneon and focus on the love Tee and Mo have for one another.

TreeFuTomFremantleMedia Kids & Family will stream Tree Fu Tom exclusively on the Hulu streaming service. The adventure series is currently available in 120 territories.

Tree Fu Tom is a co-production between FremantleMedia Kids & Family and the BBC for CBeebies, with animation by Blue Zoo Animation. The CG series combines heroic action, magic, and interactive physical activity.

In the Night Garden, RHS Partner for Series’ 10th Anniversary Celebration

InTheNightGardenIn the Night Garden and the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) partnered for a host of green-fingered activities to mark the 10th anniversary of the brand.

Celebrating ‘Ten Years of Magical Journeys,” the activities will run from May until the end of June, and will consist of magical paper trails at all four RHS gardens throughout England. Komixx Secures Worldwide Development Deal for Stanley The Can-Do Hamster

Komixx_StanleyUK and LA based independent film and TV producer Komixx Entertainment Ltd. secured a development deal with BBC Worldwide for Stanley the Can-Do Hamster. The animated TV series is based on the Stanley picture books by children’s author and illustrator William Bee.

BBC Worldwide will be the executive producers on the animated series and have exclusive rights to all other IP business rights globally, including transmitting the series on their worldwide Cbeebies channels. Dot To Dot to Produce School of Roars Preschool Series

SchoolOfroarsDot To Dot Productions will produce the new 2-D-animated preschool series School of RoarsCBeebies acquired the series in the UK, and Sprout acquired the series in the U.S. ZDF Enterprises will handle worldwide distribution, and Creative Europe will handle further investment in the production.

School of Roars follows five mini monsters through their school day as they learn “monstery lessons” in math, music, cooking, and life. The show will be supported by interactive elements including game apps, story apps, and a website.

School of Roars will be animated at Dot To Dot’s in-house studio and is expected to air this year. Other shows that will be completed at the studio include CBeebies’ mixed media project, Footy Pups, which was also created by Dot To Dot.

DHX Media Adds New Twirlywoos Episodes

TwirlywoosDHX Media announced that UK broadcaster CBeebies commissioned new episodes of the preschool series Twirlywoos.

DHX Media also signed international broadcast deals for the first 50 episodes of the TV series. Episodes will launch on NOGGIN in the US, ABC Australia, Télémagino and SRC in Canada, TVE Clan in Spain, JimJam Benelux, VRT in Belgium, MBC and E-Junior in the Middle East, Minika Turkey, TVB in Hong Kong and OKTO in Singapore. Previously announced broadcast deals for the first 50 episodes include Family Jr. Canada, Gulli France, SVT Sweden, YLE Finland, NRK Norway, HRT Croatia, and Hop! Israel.

 

 

 

CBeebies, FremantleMedia Kids & Family Launch Preschool Animated Series Bitz & Bob

Bitz & BobFremantleMedia Kids & Family and CBeebies will launch CGI-animated preschool comedy series, Bitz & Bob (44 x 11-minute), focused on making engineering fun for kids.

The series will combine whimsical stories with key principles of science, technology, engineering, arts, and maths (STEAM) as it follows the antics of inventor and creator 8-year-old Bitz and her younger brother Bob.

With an increasing need for more engineers and efforts to attract girls to STEAM-related industries, the show is aimed at inspiring kids, particularly girls, to understand how things are made, how they work, and the nature of the world around them.

To complement the series, a short-form, live-action 44 x 4-minute companion series, Bitz & Bob Let’s Make It, will provide kids with step-by-step ways to create things depicted in the main series.

Dot to Dot Secures Re-Commissions From BBC Children’s for Footy Pups and Art Ninja

Dot To Dot Productions has secured re-commissions from BBC Children’s for Footy Pups and Art Ninja to highlight the company’s success producing content for kids across age groups.

CBeebies has commissioned a second series of Footy Pups, to teach kids ages 3 to 6 basic sports skills.

Inspired by a desire to get kids interested in sport and exercise from an early age, the series focuses on football and aims to encourage a new generation of sport’s stars, helping them develop key skills through fun activities and games.

John Motson is the narrator and Arsenal’s Rachel Yankey is the host of the TV series.

Dot To Dot will also produce a third series of Art Ninja with presenter Ricky Martin. The series couples art with sitcom capers as it applies a luminous highlighter pen to make Ricky’s real life bigger and better. Ricky makes art that can be copied at home with pens, paints, phones, and PCs.

Silvergate Media, SimEx-Iwerks Entertainment Partner for 4-D Octonauts Cinema

Silvergate Media partnered SimEx-Iwerks Entertainment to create 4-D Octonauts cinema experience for fans worldwide.

In the first film The Amazon Adventure – 4-D, the Octonauts travel down the Amazon river in search of a lost city and Kwazii’s grandfather Calico Jack. The film’s UK premier is scheduled for May. More Octonauts films from SimEx in partnership with Silvergate will follow through a three-year deal.

Octonauts (now in its fourth season) airs in more than 100 countries worldwide, including Disney Channel (U.S.), CBeebies (UK), ABC (Australia), TF1 (France), and Super RTL (Germany). Octonauts is also broadcast in China on China Central TV (CCTV).
