Marvel Launches Daredevil, The Punisher, Jessica Jones, and Deadpool Merchandise for Adult Fans

Marvel began rolling out its merchandising and retail plans for popular anti-heroes and vigilantes Daredevil, The Punisher, Jessica Jones, and Deadpool.

Additional launches targeting teens and adults are planned for January, including apparel, collectibles, and action figures. Diamond Select, Funko, Sideshow, Kotobukiya, and NECA will launch collectibles, Hasbro will add Marvel Legends collector figures, and Hot Wheels will unveil collectible die-cast vehicles next fall.

Mad Engine, C-Life, Hybrid, Freeze, Fifth Sun, Silver Buffalo, and Bioworld will launch men’s and women’s apparel, accessories, footwear, bags, home goods, and drinkware. The merchandising programs will be rounded with collector plush, stationery, consumer electronics, novelties, and Marvel Comics editions that feature backstories of the superheroes.

Additionally, Hot Topic will launch an in-store and online Deadpool campaign in February. Walmart, JCPenney, Spencer’s, Party City, and Kohl’s will provide in-store and online support. Amazon will expand on its toy and apparel offerings and CafePress will launch Jessica Jones-inspired merchandise for men and women.

DCP Unveils Merchandising Program for Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War

MarvelCaptainAmericaCivilWarDisney Consumer Products has unveiled the merchandising program for Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War, which will hit theaters next May. Licensees across categories, including apparel, accessories, footwear, toys, sporting goods, consumer electronics, seasonal products, costumes, party goods, stationery, food, home furnishings, and collectibles, will create products to coincide with the film’s release.

Hasbro, Lego, Funko, Hot Wheels, Mad Engine, C-Life, Jay Franco, Global Brand Group, Kelogg’s, Hallmark, and American Greetings have already signed on. The merchandise programs will continue to showcase the Avengers’ team dynamic, include top-tier retail support, and will target all demographics from kids to adults.

Scholastic Releases Licensing Program for Goosbumps Movie

Scholastic is celebrating the theatrical release of the Goosebumps motion picture, based on the series by R.L. Stine, with a new collection of licensed products. The offerings include T-shirts, costumes, video games, novelty toys, and more. More than a dozen licensees have signed on to produce Goosebumps products in advance of the film from Sony Pictures Entertainment. The full list of licensees are as follows:

The Goosebumps motion picture will make its debut on Oct. 16.

Marvel Launches Collection Inspired by Guardians of the Galaxy

Marvel Entertainment, in conjunction with Disney Consumer Products, has unveiled a product collection to celebrate the new film, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. Licensees for the products include Hasbro, Lego, Disguise, Hot Wheels, Her Universe, Café Press, Mad Engine, Just Play, KidDesigns, Rubie’s, C-Life, Jay Franco, and the Disney Store. Products in the line include action figures, plush, play sets, role play, costumes, and ’80s nostalgia-inspired lifestyle products.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy products are available now at national retailers, specialty stores, Marvel.com, Disney store locations nationwide, and DisneyStore.com. The movie opens in theaters on August 1.

Marvel Adds New Apparel Partners for Guardians of the Galaxy

Marvel Entertainment has announced that Mad Engine, C-Life, and New Era will introduce a line of apparel and accessories inspired by Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, in theaters August 1, 2014. As the first apparel partners for the film, C-Life, Mad Engine, and New Era join other partners including Hasbro, Disguise, and Sideshow Collectibles for an overall merchandising program for the latest Marvel film franchise.

Mad Engine and C-Life will serve as the core apparel licensee with a line of tees and fleece for boys and men, while New Era, an international lifestyle brand, will develop signature co-branded headwear and hats inspired by the Marvel property.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is directed by James Gunn and stars Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), and Benicio del Toro (The Collector). The film follows Peter Quill (aka Star Lord), Gamora, Drax, Groot, and Rocket Raccoon, as they join forces to defeat a cosmic force.

Atari Unveils New Brand Extensions

Atari has signed nine new licensing agreements through its licensing agent Brandgenuity, including a high-end surfboard deal with Walden Surfboards, high-end and specialty apparel with Lancaster Vintage, scratch-off lottery tickets with Pollard Banknote, men’s apparel with C-Life, swimwear and outerwear with Isaac Morris, wall coverings and decals with Blik, luggage tags and novelty journals with Flapjack Toys, calendars and posters with Aquarius and apparel accessories with Grupo Ruz for Mexico.
