Care Bears, Pusheen Come Together for Cuddly Collaboration

CareBears_PusheenCare Bears entered an apparel collaboration with Pusheen as part of its Colors of Change campaign this year. Care Bears x Pusheen will launch on April 28 at JapanLA, as well as and Pusheen’s online store, The collection will feature T-shirts, dresses, and more.

Care Bears and Pusheen will host a launch event at JapanLA on Saturday, April 28 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Attendees will have a chance to win giveaway prizes and receive a free gift with purchase. Cheer Bear will be on site from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

American Greetings Entertainment, Aircraft Pictures to Produce Holly Hobbie Live-Action Series

HollyHobbieAircraft Pictures and American Greetings Entertainment will partner to produce a new live-action kids’ series based on the Holly Hobbie brand. The series will debut this fall in the U.S. exclusively on Hulu, followed by its debut in Canada on Family Channel. The series was also pre-sold to Universal Kids, which will have the linear rights to the series after it streams on Hulu. Netflix Original Buddy Thunderstruck Premieres This Weekend

BuddyThunderstruckBuddy Thunderstruck debuts its first season on Netflix tomorrow. From American Greetings Entertainment, this goofy action-comedy follows the adventures of a semi-truck racing dog named Buddy and his albino ferret mechanic, Darnell. Buddy’s the brashest, fastest race-truck driver you’ll ever see. Buddy Thunderstruck will feature a 12-episode season.

MadBallsAmerican Greetings Entertainment (AGE) appointed DHX Media’s WildBrain to manage the Madballs YouTube channel, create original content, and grow the audience for the brand.

WildBrain will launch the Madballs channel next month with new animated shorts produced by Oddbot Studios, American Greetings, and Just Play. Starring Skull Face, Oculus, Screamin’ Meemie, Dust Brain, Horn Head, and Slobulus, new content produced by WildBrain will also provide live-action, stop motion, and traditional animation. American Greetings Entertainment, Gaumont Animation Partner to Relaunch Herself the Elf

agegaumont-herselftheelf-mipcom-2016American Greetings Entertainment (AGE) and Gaumont Animation entered into a long-term agreement to co-develop, co-produce, and co-distribute a new animated series based on AGE’s 1980’s classic girls’ brand Herself the Elf.

AGE will take the lead on worldwide consumer products as it looks to re-launch another brand from its library. Worldwide distribution will be shared between AGE and Gaumont Animation with the option for the production of additional animated episodes with AGE retaining ownership of the Herself the Elf intellectual property.


Care Bears Cuddles Up to Boy Meets Girl for Limited Edition Fashion Line

American Greetings Entertainment (AGE) announced today that Care Bears will partner BoyMeetsGirlCareBearsatcolettewith the Boy Meets Girl brand. The limited edition collaboration will launch exclusively at Paris retailer colette in August. The women’s athleisure line includes hoodies, sweats, sweatshirts, tanks, and tees retailing from €65 to €90, which can be found on colette’s website.

This month, Care Bears and Boy Meets Girl are slated to create an exclusive Care Bears 35th anniversary collection for colette, which will launch in early next year.

Precious Moments Inc. Partners AGE for Precious Moments Co-Branded Care Bears Gifts

Precious Moments Inc. entered a licensing agreement with American Greetings Entertainment to bring Precious Moments co-branded Care Bears to The Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market from July 12 to 19.

New gift products debuting at the show are Care Bear figurines, and musicals and décor, ready to ship to retailers in time for fourth quarter holiday sales. They will be on display in Atlanta at the Precious Moments Showroom #1311A/B.

The first ten available gift items include figurines made of porcelain and resin, an LED musical of a girl with Harmony Bear made of resin playing the Care Bears theme song, and a Girl with the Cheer Bear photo frame made of resin with the text “Oh Happy Day.” Future precious moments co-branded Care Bears gift categories include water globes and ornaments.


American Greetings Entertainment, Night & Day Studios Partner for a Preschool App

Lemon Lumberjack

American Greetings Entertainment (AGE) partnered with Night & Day Studios to create a preschool alphabet storybook app Lemon Lumberjack’s Letter Mill. This app is Lemon Lumberjack’s first market release.

Inside the letter mill, players can collect 26 character storybook pages to hear stories about Letter Mill friends, and explore 54 levels with a broad range of play modes. Players match letters and objects as they move down the conveyor belt to complete levels and earn daily rewards.

Lemon Lumberjack’s Letter Mill is designed to guide kids through multiple stages of language acquisition. Pre-readers learn letter recognition along with the sounds letters make, and in higher levels, older kids build fundamental spelling and reading skills.
