Encyclopaedia Britannica Expands Licensing Program with Britannica Virtual Reality Exploration!

Britannica_VRExplorationEncyclopaedia Britannica launches the latest book set, Britannica Virtual Reality Exploration!. The six-book set was developed in partnership with Encyclopaedia Britannica’s official licensed partner Publications International, and is sold exclusively at Costco.

The set features vetted information from Encyclopaedia Britannica and a virtual reality experience. The hardcover books have full-color illustrations and photographs, graphics, text, and videos. It also included is a six month free subscription to Encyclopaedia Britannica Online.

The set includes a virtual reality viewer and instructions for downloading six different apps. Kids place a smartphone in the virtual reality viewer to access an interactive 3-D experience featuring animations, videos, games, and more.

Titles include Space, where kids learn about planets, stars, space exploration, and more; Animals, which lets kids test their knowledge on animals and how they interact with each other and their environments; Dinosaurs, where kids learn about dinosaurs and how they interacted with each other and other animals that lived during their era; Explorations, which lets kids explore historical voyages and methods of transportation; Landmarks, where kids travel around the world exploring natural wonders and human-made monuments; and Oceans, where kids dive into
