CharlesAtlasPacific Swell Brands (PacSwell) was appointed as exclusive licensing representative for American fitness icon, Charles Atlas.

PacSwell will leverage Charles Atlas’ famous advertisements that have appeared in comic books and magazines since the ‘30s, as well as classic photos, trademarks, and other assets. The licensing agency will extend the brand into new categories that include apparel, accessories, collectibles, publishing, nutrition supplements, beverages, costumes, gift and novelty, gaming, promotions, and more.

Scholastic Debuts New Anniversary Edition Covers for Harry Potter

Rowling’s Harry Potter series as part of its year-long campaign to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the U.S. publication of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Illustrated by Brian Selznick, the new paperback editions will be published on June 26 in the U.S.

Rendered in Selznick’s signature black-and-white style with jewel-toned type, the seven covers depict thrilling moments and characters from across the series. Gaumont to Produce New TV Series Based on Touch the Earth Book Series

Bloomsbury, Technicolor Launch Global Publishing Program for The Deep

TheDeepBloomsbury entered a publishing partnership with Technicolor to create a series of books based on the animated TV series The Deep. The deal was brokered by licensing agent CPLG.

Bloomsbury will produce a range of books for The Deep, including young fiction, official handbooks, and activity-based books. The publishing program will contain new storylines not seen on TV series. Additionally, The Very Hungry Caterpillar live show continues to attract audiences throughout the UK, and The Giant Wiggle annual fundraising event hosted by the UK children’s charity Action for Children continues to grow every year.

HarrietTheSpyThe Jim Henson Co. has optioned two classic book properties for development as a TV series in partnership with Rehab Entertainment and 2 Friends Entertainment: Louise Fitzhugh’s Harriet the Spy and Audrey Penn’s The Kissing Hand.
