9 Story Media Group Appoints Angela C. Santomero as Chief Creative Officer

9 Story Media GroupAngela appointed Angela C. Santomero to the newly established role of chief creative officer (CCO). As CCO, Santomero will report to president and CEO Vince Commisso to lead the creative content strategy across 9 Story Media Group. The appointment follows 9 Story’s recent acquisition of Out of the Blue Enterprises, which was co-founded by Santomero.

With Santomero’s appointment, Out of the Blue will be rebranded as 9 Story USA. The New York-based creative studio will be the anchor of 9 Story’s creative development, formative research, and creative stewardship across current series, and the studio will continue to be supported by key development staff and operations in Toronto and Dublin.

Angela Wilson, CHF Media Launche Swimstylers

Screen Shot 2018-06-13 at 10.36.01 AMFollowing a successful launch at BAFTA Club on Friday, former Team GB international swimmer Angela Wilson (née Pendrich) will launch Swimstylers, a new swimming program designed for kids ages 4 months to 12 years old devised in conjunction with CHF Media (Daisy & Ollie, Pip Ahoy!).

The Swimstylers program launches in fourteen of Angela’s swim school franchises including Kent, London, Essex, East Sussex, Surrey, and Hampshire. Wilson has worked closely with CHF Media to develop a series of inspirational characters.  The goal of the program is to teach children to swim with the correct technique while teaching them valuable life skills to help them improve their physical and emotional well being. They will also learn water safety and respect.

Swimstylers has five inspirational animated child characters which help to structure the five-staged program, making it encouraging and engaging. The hope is that children aspire to be like the characters and improve with style, confidence, and technique as they progress through the character badge-based system.

Concept One Accessories to Acquire Ful From Sequential Brands Group

Ful_LogoConcept One Accessories acquired the Ful intellectual property to Ful Ipco LLC from Sequential Brands Group. Since November 2014, Concept One has been the global master license for Ful luggage and accessories, and has worked to expand the distribution and presence of the brand.

Ful was launched in Memphis in 2006 through a partnership with Justin Timberlake, and has since been used by musicians for touring and personal use.

Educational Insights, Upright Citizens Brigade Theater Launch Party Game

SculptapaloozaEducational Insights (EI) partnered with Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre (UCB)—founded by comedians Amy Poehler, Matt Walsh, Ian Roberts, and Matt Besser—to create original content in support of the launch of Sculptapalooza, EI’s first party game for adults. The agreement includes a commercial, a webisode, and instructional video.

The game challenges players to sculpt whatever’s shown on the cards they draw using squishy Playfoam (included). As part of the partnership, UCB performers played the game in the streets of NYC.

Britney Spears Will Launch a New Brand of Merchandise With Epic Rights

Queen Britney SpearsEpic Rights partnered with Britney Spears to launch a line of fashion and lifestyle products inspired by the pop icon.

Spears and Epic Rights will work together to expand the singer’s global brand presence in the marketplace. Epic Rights will also manage Spears’ e-commerce initiatives, including Amazon. The anticipated retail launch for the Britney Spears lifestyle program is spring 2019.

*NSYNC “Dirty Pop-Up” to Launch in LA This Month

Nsync“Dirty Pop-Up,” an *NSYNC experience, will run from April 28 to May 1 in Los Angeles and will launch *NSYNC’s official merchandise capsule collection. The experience will debut in collaboration with *NSYNC’s merchandise and licensing partner, Epic Rights. Visitors can shop the limited inventory of official merchandise and participate in photo activations from the group’s career.

Admission to the Pop -Up will be free to the public and will feature authentic props, wardrobe, artwork, and photography on display.  The new line of branded apparel and accessories will also be made available online this month. The experience opens at Cinematic Pictures.
