New Level Introduced to Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy

Screen Shot 2018-06-13 at 10.32.25 AMActivision Publishing Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Activision Blizzard Inc. is introducing a new level called “Future Tense.” On June 29, the Future Tense level will be included as a bonus in the Crash Bandicoot  3: Warped game of the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy.

Developed by Vicarious Visions, Future Tense brings an extra layer of difficulty to Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped’s Future world, as players dodge rockets, destroy robots and leap over lasers while ascending a massive futuristic skyscraper. This new level pays homage to the unreleased Waterfall level from the original Crash Bandicoot game.

Future Tense will be accessible via a new platform in the Warp Room of Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped, and playable at any point in the game’s progression. Fans on new platforms will also receive Stormy Ascent as a bonus level starting June 29th. Existing Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy owners on PlayStation 4 can download Stormy Ascent as a bonus level at no additional charge from the PlayStation Store.

MasterPieces, Dean Russo Partner for Pet Art Puzzles

MasterPieces_DeanRusso_WhatAreYouLookinAtMasterPieces Inc. released a line of new puzzles featuring artist Dean Russo’s dog art. The licensing deal with Dean Russo Art secures four puzzles that will be featured in MasterPieces’ 300-piece, EZ Grip range.

The Dean Russo puzzles build into an 18- by 24-inch completed size, and the puzzles are created in MasterPieces’ EZ Grip style. The company also manufactures its puzzles out of a chipboard made of recycled materials.

WBIE, TT Games, LEGO, DC Entertainment Collaborate for LEGO DC Super-Villains Game

DcSuperVillainsWarner Bros. Interactive Entertainment (WBIE), TT Games, the LEGO Group, and DC Entertainment partnered for the LEGO DC Super-Villains game. The collaboration marks the first time a LEGO game will give players the ability to create and play as their own DC super-villain throughout the game.

In DC Super-Villains, the Justice League has disappeared, leaving earth’s protection to a newcomer group of heroes, the Justice Syndicate. DC super-villains discover the newest heroes may not be the heroes they claim to be. With each player’s completely customizable super-villain character in command, the team of misfit lawbreakers must join forces to discover and foil the evil plans the incognito strangers have in store. Educational Insights, Upright Citizens Brigade Theater Launch Party Game

SculptapaloozaEducational Insights (EI) partnered with Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre (UCB)—founded by comedians Amy Poehler, Matt Walsh, Ian Roberts, and Matt Besser—to create original content in support of the launch of Sculptapalooza, EI’s first party game for adults. The agreement includes a commercial, a webisode, and instructional video.

The game challenges players to sculpt whatever’s shown on the cards they draw using squishy Playfoam (included). As part of the partnership, UCB performers played the game in the streets of NYC.

King Features to Expand Merchandising Program for Cuphead Game

CupheadKing Features Syndicate, the official licensor of Studio MDHR’s Cuphead property, introduced a merchandising program inspired by the game, featuring apparel, accessories, costumes, home décor, and more.

Merchandise from Funko, Accutime, Fifth Sun, Dark Horse Comics, Underboss, and Just Funky will begin to rollout at retail and continue throughout this year. SYBO Games, Vans Launch Subway Surfers Collection

subsurf_vansSYBO Games partnered with The Ave LA to offer a Subsurf Vans collection based on Subway Surfers, the most downloaded mobile game last year.

The Subsurf collection features customizable slip-on and high top versions of Vans sneakers. SYBO will premiere the footwear at the Subway Surfers Venice Beach Party on June 1, which coincides with the debut of the new Subway Surfers animated series that launches the same day on YouTube.

 

University Games Acquires The Haywire Group
