Moose Toys to Launch Fortnite Battle Royale Collection

EpicGames_MooseToys_FortniteMoose Toys partnered with Epic Games to create the Fortnite Battle Royale Collection, featuring a range of Fortnite mini collectibles. The deal was brokered by IMG.

Moose Toys will be the global partner for Fortnite-branded figures that are 3 inches and smaller, beginning with a new line that will debut this fall. The collection will give fans the opportunity to collect a roster of characters and miniature-scale fort building sets.

WWE Reports Record Revenue for Q2 2018 Financial Results

WWE_LogoWWE reported financial results for its second quarter, which ended June 30, 2018.

Highlights include a revenue increase of 31 percent to $281.6 million, which was the highest quarterly revenue in WWE history, due to increased monetization of media content. Operating income nearly doubled to $21.2 million from $10.7 million in the quarter in the prior year.

Adjusted OIBDA increased 79 percent to $43.5 million, increasing four percent in the prior year quarter. Net Income increased to $10.0 million as compared to $5.1 million in the prior year quarter. Read the rest of this entry »

Sesame Workshop, Nelvana to Debut Esme & Roy Animated Series

SesameWorkshop_EsmeRoySesame Workshop and Nelvana will debut Esme & Roy on HBO in the U.S. and Treehouse in Canada on Aug. 18. The series marks the first new animated series from the makers of Sesame Street in more than a decade.

Esme & Roy follows Esme and her best monster friend Roy on their adventures as the best monster babysitters in Monsterdale. The show targets kids ages 4 to 6, and teaches learning through play and mindfulness strategies. The series will feature 26 episodes where Esme and Roy will use the power of play to help younger monsters through familiar situations, including trying new foods and feeling scared during loud thunderstorms. DHX Media Closes Sale to Sony of Minority Stake in Peanuts

PeanutsDHX Media closed its previously announced sale of a minority stake in Peanuts to Sony Music Entertainment Inc. (SMEJ). SMEJ has indirectly purchased 49 percent of DHX Media’s 80 percent interest in Peanuts for $235.6 million in cash, subject to certain adjustments contemplated in the original agreement. Simon & Shuster to Publish Picture Books Based on Lennon and McCartney Lyrics

Simon_LennonMcCartneyLittle Simon, an imprint of Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing, entered a licensing agreement with Sony/ATV Music Publishing and Sony/ATV’s global licensing agent, Epic Rights, to create picture books inspired by two songs from The Beatles’ John Lennon and Paul McCartney.

All You Need is Love will be the first lyrical picture book and feature art by Marc Rosenthal. The book brings the song to life, showing kids that there is love all around them. All You Need is Love will be available in January. A second picture book will be published at a future date.

Jazwares, Epic Games to Launch Fortnite Toys
