The international rollout began in New Zealand and Australia with more than 35,000 Subway restaurants and feature a Beyblade Burst launcher and two spinning tops in Fresh Fit for Kids Meals. Subway’s Beyblade Burst promotion will include restaurants in the U.S., Canada, Aruba, Australia, Austria, Bahamas, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Liechtenstein, Luxemburg, New Zealand, Sweden, Switzerland, and the UK.

Titan to Publish The Beatles Yellow Submarine Graphic Novel

the beatles yellow submarineCaroline Mickler Ltd. partnered with Titan Comics to publish an official graphic novel adaptation of The Beatles’ animated film, Yellow Submarine. This global agreement was brokered by Bravado International, The Beatles’ North American licensing agent, and Caroline Mickler Ltd. for the UK.

The graphic novel was written and illustrated by Bill Morrison and will be available in the UK this summer. Yellow Submarine has a range of licensed products including games, toys, footwear, artwork prints, homeware, luggage, bags, apparel, and babywear. Products were previewed at Brand Licensing Europe (BLE) and will launch this year.

Nelvana Acquires Global Distribution, Merchandising, and Licensing Rights for Super BOOMi

SuperBOOMiCorus Entertainment’s Nelvana acquired global distribution, licensing, and merchandising rights for Super BOOMi outside of Greater China.

Nelvana and Up Studios will work with Tencent to launch the show’s content and licensing program internationally. Additionally, Nelvana entered into a first-look agreement with Up Studios that will see the companies co-develop and finance new properties over a multi-year plan.

Cartoon Network to Host Branded Event in Southeast Asia

CartoonNetworkAnimateYourLife - LandscapeTurner’s Cartoon Network will host Cartoon Network Animate Your Life, a two-week branded event in Southeast Asia beginning May 26. The event will host 80,000 participants and feature workshops and leading interactive activities.

Co-presented by Cartoon Network Wave, the event will be held at Gardens by the Bay’s Bayfront Plaza with characters from The Powerpuff GirlsWe Bare BearsAdventure Time, and Ben 10. The festival will offer inflatable obstacle courses, carnival games, and creative workshops. Singapore’s art scene will also be represented through a partnership with Band of Doodlers and Animate Yourself.

Roald Dahl Grows Licensees in North America

PrintBrand Activation Consulting (BAC) and the Roald Dahl Story Co. introduced the first nine licensees to launch licensed products in North America.

The line is inspired by Dahl’s books including Matilda, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, James and the Giant Peach, and The BFG, as well as Sir Quentin Blake’s illustrations. The products will begin to hit retail in the fall in the U.S. and Canada. Read the rest of this entry »

Britney Spears Will Launch a New Brand of Merchandise With Epic Rights

Queen Britney SpearsEpic Rights partnered with Britney Spears to launch a line of fashion and lifestyle products inspired by the pop icon.

Spears and Epic Rights will work together to expand the singer’s global brand presence in the marketplace. Epic Rights will also manage Spears’ e-commerce initiatives, including Amazon. The anticipated retail launch for the Britney Spears lifestyle program is spring 2019.
