Once Upon A Time…Life Secures Distribution Deals Across Europe and the Middle East

OnceUponATime...LifeIndependent French animation studio Procidis secured sales for a new version of animated series Once Upon a Time…Life. The series is part of the Hello Maestro umbrella brand.

Once Upon a Time…Life targets kids ages 6 to 10 and is restored in HD by Mikros Image. Global broadcasters to acquire the new version include: Turner Broadcasting in Italy; France 4; RTBF Belgium; RTS in Switzerland; Israel’s IETV; Puls in Poland; and TV2 Hungary, with further deals pending.

The series will also celebrate its 30th anniversary next year with new digital initiatives and consumer products.


Paladone, Warner Bros. Consumer Products UK and Ireland Partner for New Harry Potter Gift Range

Paladone’s new Harry Potter range includes Harry Potter Hogwarts LED Crest Light and Harry Potter Color Change Glass with the Hogwarts crest and the four school houses. When a drink is served in the glass, each of the four quadrants change to their respective colors of scarlet, green, yellow, and blue.

Available now at Sainsbury’s,, The Hut Group, and Shop Direct, Paladone’s new Harry Potter range also includes mugs, notebooks, gadgets, and decals.

The Teletubbies will also support the Barnardo’s Big Toddle, the largest annual fundraising event for kids under years olds. BOth Teletubbies and Bernardo’s Big Toddle will celebrate their 20th anniversaries next year.

The Fred Rogers Co. Names Paul Siefken as President and CEO

paul-fredrogersThe Fred Rodgers Co. named Paul Siefken president and CEO, effective January 1. Currently vice president of broadcast and digital media, Siefken succeeds longtime company president and CEO Bill Isler who is retiring from the company.
Before joining The Fred Rogers Co., Siefken spent nearly 10 years at PBS, most recently as director of Children’s Programming. Prior to that, he managed sponsored promotions and media relations as well as produced interactive content for Cartoon Network.
