Hoho Entertainment, TotallyTween Partner for Mimi & Bibi

Hoho Entertainment, the kids’ production and rights management company behind Cloudbabies, has partnered with TotallyTween for Mimi & Bibi, an original 26-episode, two-minute animated series for kids ages 8 to 10. Mimi and Bibi are twin sisters who are complete opposites: Mimi is sweet, good, and on a mission to perfect the world; Bibi is a rebel without a cause.

TotallyTween is a safe and secure online environment for girls ages 8 to 12 in the UK. TotallyTween allows girls to discover, discuss, and create in an eclectic online community that covers film, books, music, fashion, health, fitness, animals, food, crafts, and social issues.

Content is created for tweens, by tweens. Each episode of Mimi & Bibi will be the result of tween input and interaction from the TotallyTween audience. The show will celebrate and encourage difference as the twins debate from opposite sides of the spectrum in a fun and humorous way.

Hoho Rights will sell Mimi & Bibi globally, and has developed a product range that reflects the twins’ differing points of view.

Kinetic Sand Teams Up with Autism Speaks to Raise Awareness

Spin Master Ltd. and its Kinetic Sand line of squeezable sands has entered into a new partnership in the U.S. and Canada with Autism Speaks, the world’s leading autism science and advocacy organization.

The agreement will see Spin Master raise funds for the organization through the sale of Kinetic Sand, in addition to exploring the positive benefits that play skills and social experiences may have for children with autism spectrum disorders (ASDs).

“Kinetic Sand is a motivating and versatile sensory activity with many educational and self-regulation benefits,” says toy expert and pediatric occupational therapist Keri Wilmot. “While utilizing Kinetic Sand with individuals with autism, I’ve personally witnessed children who have demonstrated more confidence to imitate new motor actions, communicate with peers or create colorful scenes inspired by their own unique imagination. In addition, Kinetic Sand is an amazing self-calming activity, as many children and adults happily prefer to manipulate the silky texture, sifting Kinetic Sand through their fingertips, marveling at its quiet movement as a means of relaxation.”

April is Autism Awareness Month, featuring a wide range of Light It Up Blue-themed activities that help spread awareness of ASDs.

Spin Master will join the celebration this year with activities including exclusive Kinetic Sand play table experiences at various retail locations and at the annual Walk Now for Autism Speaks events at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif. on April 18 and at Earl Bales Park in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on June 21.
