Disney and Glidden Partner for Paints, Specialty Finishes

Disney Consumer Products and Glidden have partnered for a new line of paints and specialty finishes available exclusively at select Walmart stores across the U.S. The line has been in the works for two years. The colors in the collection coordinate with Disney bedding products.

There are three collections in the Disney Paint line. Colors to Begin With are soft, subtle, soothing shades, including colors from Winnie the Pooh and other classic Disney stories, such as Eeyore’s Rain Cloud and Blushing Piglet, which coordinate with Winnie the Pooh infant bedding. Colors with Character includes six colorful palettes inspired by Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Disney Princess characters, Disney Fairies, Disney Pixar’s Cars, and Monsters University. Each palette has 10 colors pulled from the character’s unique world, such as Cinderella’s Ball Gown and Sulley’s Fur, which are designed to complement Disney bedding and room accessories available at Walmart stores or online. Colors with Kick are bold, vibrant colors, such as Under the Hood and Glam Cam, designed for tweens and teens looking to create an imaginative, personalized space.

The collection of five specialty finishes includes All That Glitters, Great Slate, Speck-Tacular, Ready, Set, Glow!, and Magnificent Metallic.

Walmart and Warner Bros. Give Superman Fans Exclusive Opportunity to See Man of Steel First

Walmart and Warner Bros. have teamed up to give customers exclusive access to see Man of Steel in theaters nationwide before the film’s official release. This is the first time in entertainment history that a studio has partnered with a retailer to provide such an opportunity for fans.

Tickets will go on sale in more than 3,700 Walmart stores starting at 8 a.m. on May 18. Customers can purchase up to four tickets per visit, and can choose between 2-D or 3-D showings, where applicable. The screening will take place in selected local theaters nationwide at 7 p.m. on June 13.

Walmart customers can also take advantage of a priority purchase of  Blu-ray Combo Pack or HD Digital Download. Each ticket bought at Walmart will feature a code on the back that allows customers to pre-order their own Blu-ray Combo Pack or HD Digital Download of Man of Steel, which will contain exclusive film content.

Customers can download the official augmented-reality Man of Steel Experience mobile app, which lets fans bring Superman to life. The app lets customers take photos with the superhero and unlock special photo frames by pointing their phone at Man of Steel signage in their local Walmart. The app is available for iOS and Android.

Walmart also offers fans the Exclusive Original Digital Comic Book, written by  Man of Steel screenwriter David Goyer, with every ticket.

Beginning April 28, a variety of Man of Steel merchandise from top brands, including t-shirts, electronics, and posters, will be available at Walmart stores and at Walmart.com.
