Turner’s Cartoon Network EMEA adds partners to the apparel and accessories category for The Powerpuff Girls in the UK. The announcement follows the recent unveiling of London-based fashion label Fyodor Golan’s line inspired by the animated series.

American Greetings Entertainment (AGE) appointed DHX Media’s WildBrain to manage the Madballs YouTube channel, create original content, and grow the audience for the brand.
WildBrain will launch the Madballs channel next month with new animated shorts produced by Oddbot Studios, American Greetings, and Just Play. Starring Skull Face, Oculus, Screamin’ Meemie, Dust Brain, Horn Head, and Slobulus, new content produced by WildBrain will also provide live-action, stop motion, and traditional animation. DHX Media and Ipsos announced the results from a survey of 2,700 parents in the U.S., Canada and the UK, that shows how kids ages 0-12 consume entertainment content and brands.
According to the survey, 72% of children’s daily viewing is from streaming services such as YouTube, Netflix and others. When viewing content, 61% of kids use tablets, with 78% of households having at least one tablet and 29% having a tablet for use by a child only. Tablets were found to be the most popular screen used by children, who used the devices to watch 45% of their streamed content.

PBS KIDS launches its first digital short-form spinoff OddTube this month. This miniseries will feature 20 episodes hosted by Agent Olympia from the series Odd Squad.
OddTube will encourage interaction and submissions from the audience, such as voting on topics. New episodes will premiere every week this year from Nov. 10 through Mar. 23.
