Jakks Pacific debuted its line of toys inspired by the upcoming live-action film Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. The collection includes Enchanted Rose Jewelry Box, Enchanted Objects Tea Set, Belle’s Ball Gown, Belle’s Dress Up Accessory Set, Ballroom Belle, and Baby Belle.

Hasbro Inc. was named global master toy licensee by Sutikki, the new kids and family division of Bento Box Entertainment. The line of toys will based on the new preschool series, Moon and Me from Andrew Davenport’s Foundling Bird.
Inspired by tales of toys that come to life when nobody is looking, Moon and Me is the comical story of a special friendship between two characters from completely different worlds. JAKKS Pacific Inc. partnered with Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP), on behalf of DC Entertainment, for a multi-year, global licensing deal to manufacture, market, and distribute large action pose dolls, dress-up, and Get Ready for Action items based on the DC Super Hero Girls universe.
DC Super Hero Girls follows female Super Heroes and Super-Villains of the DC universe during their high school years, before they discover their full super power potential. Each character has their own storyline that explores what teen life is like as a Super Hero, including discovering unique abilities, nurturing powers, and mastering the fundamentals of being a hero.
The DC Super Hero Girls line will be available at retailers this fall.
Sesame Workshop named Sambro International as its licensee to develop a new range of Sesame Street plush toys, bags, and arts and crafts for the UK, Benelux, Iberia, the Nordic countries, and Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).
CPLG, Sesame Workshop’s licensing representative in the territories, helped broker the deal. Sambro will create a variety of branded products to build a strong presence with major retailers working closely with CPLG’s local network of offices.
The revival of Cartoon Network’s franchise The Powerpuff Girls made a debut across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) last April. As London Toy Fair prepares to open its doors, Cartoon Network details the UK launch plans for the new The Powerpuff Girls range from global toy partner Spin Master.
Argos debuted the initial rollout this month, including the Story Maker play set and plush from its online catalogue. The launch is supported by a TV and digital campaign.

Jazwares introduced six fully articulated 3-inch figures and three multi-figure accessory packs to its Minecraft line, expanding its toy collection based on the digital world.
The action figures include Charged Creeper Pack, Zombie Pigman Pack, Alex with Diamond Armor Pack, Snow Golem Pack, Steve with Minecard Pack, and the Witch Pack. The new multi-figure and accessory packs will include Alex with Skeleton Horse Pack, Alex Survival Pack, and, for the first time, kids can add their favorite animals from the game with the Wild Animal Pack.
Launched in 2009, Minecraft is a sandbox video game where users can build and go on adventures in a 3-D block world. Minecraft has sold more than 106 million copies to date.
Spiffy Pictures signed a licensing agreement with TOMY International for the PBS KIDS series Nature Cat. TOMY International is the master toy licensee for categories including plush, figures, play sets, and role play for mass and specialty retail channels.
The TOMY line will debut with plush at the end of next year, and will join soft goods licensee Komar to bring Nature Cat products to the U.S. The agreements follow the announcement of the second and third season of the series, which will include 35 half-hour episodes and two hour-long specials. New episodes will premiere next fall.
Warner Bros. Consumer Products, DC Entertainment, and Warner Bros. Animation have created a wave of new content inspired by toy lines from Mattel and Fisher-Price. Batman Unlimited, based on Mattel’s new toy line, will launch later this year with new made-for-video movies and shorts that will extend the play experience for kids. DC Superfriends, inspired by the Fisher-Price Imaginext toy line, will offer content as a series of shorts. Both lines will debut in the spring. Read the rest of this entry »
