Thomas & Friends, from Mattel Inc., kicked off its first global brand campaign with a year-long marketing program, Set Friendship in Motion.
The campaign aims to help preschoolers strengthen friendship skills, such as collaboration, communication, sharing, manners, kindness, and the abilities to express and understand feelings and emotions. Thomas the Train Engine’s best friend Percy will make his national debut at the Day Out with Thomas: The Thrill of the Ride Tour 2014, on September 13 at the Strasburg Rail Road. He will join the tour at select events throughout the year.
Day Out with Thomas: The Thrill of the Ride Tour 2014 is an event that provides children the opportunity to climb aboard and take a ride with Thomas, as well as participate in Thomas & Friends themed activities. The tour is in its 19th year and is making stops in more than 40 U.S. cities.
