LIMA Announces 2018 LIMA Rising Stars

Bonkers Toys Nominated for LIMA Award for slither.io Line

Bonkers_slitherioThe Licensing Industry Merchandisers Association (LIMA) nominated Bonkers Toys and its licensed slither.io toy line as one of six 2018 nominees in the “Toys and Games for Ages 0-12” category.

Bonkers Toys saw potential for slither.io, a family-friendly game and app from independent developer Lowtech Studios, shortly after the game was released. Bonkers became the first licensee for the mobile game, and created a true-to-license line of products including blind bag collectibles, plush, backpack clips, spinners, squishies, and build-a-slither toys. LIMA Cares Charity Bike Ride to Kick Off Licensing Expo

LIMACaresCharityBikeRideThe 2nd Annual Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association (LIMA) Cares Charity Bike Ride will take place on Sunday, May 20. The event features a 28-mile bike ride through the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, with a 15 mile option also available.

The charity event will help to kick off Licensing Week and encourage attendees to become more involved with the industry’s Charity of Choice, the Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation (CBTF). Last year, 33 licensing colleagues raised more than $3,000 for CBTF. Read the rest of this entry »

Maura Regan Named President of LIMA

MaureRegan_HeadshotMaura Regan was named president of Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association (LIMA), effective July 1. She currently serves as executive vice president and will succeed current LIMA president, Charles Riotto, who retires on June 30. In her new position, she will leverage her licensing knowledge and international expertise to further expand LIMA’s services and offerings to the global industry.

LIMA Annual Global Survey of Licensing Industry Now Available

2017LIMAreportThe International Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association (LIMA) released the full findings of its Annual Global Licensing Industry Survey. Commissioned by LIMA and conducted by Brandar Consulting LLC, the third annual survey provides an analysis and detailed breakdowns of the $262.9 billion global licensing industry—a 4.4 percent growth from the previous year.

The report quantifies worldwide royalty revenue and corresponding retail sales by product category, property type, and geographic region. It also covers the latest trends and offers forward-looking analysis and other features related to the global licensing industry. LIMA Names New Executives to Board of Directors

May27LIMA(2)The International Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association (LIMA) elected five new members to its Board of Directors for the industry’s global trade organization. Terms are for three years beginning on July 1, 2017. In addition, Cindy Levitt, SVP merchandise and marketing, Hot Topic, was re-elected as vice chairman; and Ted Larkins, SVP/general manager, CPLG North America was re-elected as board designate to the Executive Committee, each for one-year terms.
