The Fred Roger’s Co., Cottage Door Press to Launch Electronic Sound Books for Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood

FredRogers_CottageDoorThe Fred Rogers Co. partnered with Cottage Door Press to develop a range of electronic sound books for Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood. The independent publisher of children’s books will introduce a range of interactive board books featuring audio from the preschool series on PBS KIDS. The books will be available next fall.

The first three titles in the interactive book series—two song books and a Think & Find with Daniel—will be available at major retailers, including bookstores, e-commerce, warehouse clubs, and specialty outlets throughout North America.

The Fred Rogers Co. to Premiere Season Four of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood on PBS KIDS

DanielTigersThe Fred Rogers Co. will debut a fourth season of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, the preschool series that airs on PBS KIDS. The new season is expected to premiere next summer, featuring 20 episodes, including a one-hour special.

Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood continues to be one of the most streamed shows, averaging over 40 million streams per month. More than 4.5 million Daniel Tiger books have been published to date, and downloads of the apps, music, and episodes continue to rank high on iTunes.

New Episodes of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood to Premiere Beginning Next Month

DanielTiger_KingDanielNew episodes of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood will debut in the beginning of September with the premiere of the half hour special “King Daniel for the Day”, followed by the launch of three additional episodes from The Fred Rogers Co.on PBS KIDS.

In “King Daniel for the Day,” Daniel Tiger is curious about what it’s like to be king, and King Friday dubs Daniel King for the Day. Daniel discovers that the most important part of a king’s job is kindness towards his neighbors. Rite Aid Foundation’s KidCents Program Donates $2 Million to The Fred Rogers Co.

The Rite Aid Foundation’s KidCents program donated $2 million to The Fred Rogers Co. to support the production of TV series Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood airing on PBS Kids.

In recognition of the donation, Rite Aid CEO of stores and president of Rite Aid Corp. Ken Martindale and president of The Fred Rogers Co. William Isler will host a press conference at the Heinz History Center on January 18 at 10:30 a.m.

As part of the partnership, a special Rite Aid Foundation underwriting spot will air before and after each episode of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, starting next month. Underwriting credits will be included on digital platforms to build awareness about The Rite Aid Foundation’s KidCents program.

The Fred Rogers Co. Names Suzanne Masri Director, Marketing and Communications

The Fred Rogers Co. has appointed Suzanne Masri as its director of marketing and communications. Masri joins The Fred Rogers Co. following her more than 20-year tenure at WETA Washington, D.C.

In her new role, Masri will oversee the promotion and publicity efforts of the company’s broadcast and digital content, along with events and community outreach, trade announcements, and staff and corporate news. Masri will also manage the marketing and press materials for multiple children’s media properties while maintaining close relationships with key members of the press.

Before joining WETA, Masri spent three years at Claritas Inc. as communications and events coordinator. She holds a BA in History from Smith College in Northampton, Mass.
