MindWare Acquires Licensing Rights for The Rainbow Fish

MindWare acquired multi-category toy and game licensing rights for The Rainbow Fish book series worldwide.

MindWare’s first product launch, later this year, will include lacing cards, magnetic play sets, cooperative board games, an ocean fort, and activity books. Additional categories available for licensing include bedding, room décor, stationery, and craft items.

The Rainbow Fish book series has sold more than 30 million copies and will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2017.

AC/DC Expands Globally by Clinching Innovative Brand Partnerships

Epic Rights and Perryscope Productions are expanding AC/DC’s licensing program in new territories and emerging categories, including Tilibra Produtos for stationery in Brazil and Paraguay, Toxic for apparel in Mexico, Top Ten for apparel in South Korea, Boab Tree for a ready to drink bourbon and cola in Australia and New Zealand, and Bengy and Co.for apparel in Italy.

The emerging categories AC/DC is entering include Energis for high voltage branded electricity services, Husky Deutschland GmbH for refrigerators, Fabrica de Tequilas Finos for Tequila, Fire Design for fire extinguishers, Four Seasons for electronics, Trick or Treat Studios for masks and costumes, Wish Factory for pet and automotive products, Warburn Estate for wine, and Scandinavian Travel for luggage.

Recently, AC/DC set all new records in ticket sales and concert merchandise sales on their sold out Rock or Bust World Tour at stadiums and venues in Europe and North America.  The band’s record-breaking tour concludes in Australia on December 8.

Marvel Launches Daredevil, The Punisher, Jessica Jones, and Deadpool Merchandise for Adult Fans

Marvel began rolling out its merchandising and retail plans for popular anti-heroes and vigilantes Daredevil, The Punisher, Jessica Jones, and Deadpool.

Additional launches targeting teens and adults are planned for January, including apparel, collectibles, and action figures. Diamond Select, Funko, Sideshow, Kotobukiya, and NECA will launch collectibles, Hasbro will add Marvel Legends collector figures, and Hot Wheels will unveil collectible die-cast vehicles next fall.

Mad Engine, C-Life, Hybrid, Freeze, Fifth Sun, Silver Buffalo, and Bioworld will launch men’s and women’s apparel, accessories, footwear, bags, home goods, and drinkware. The merchandising programs will be rounded with collector plush, stationery, consumer electronics, novelties, and Marvel Comics editions that feature backstories of the superheroes.

Additionally, Hot Topic will launch an in-store and online Deadpool campaign in February. Walmart, JCPenney, Spencer’s, Party City, and Kohl’s will provide in-store and online support. Amazon will expand on its toy and apparel offerings and CafePress will launch Jessica Jones-inspired merchandise for men and women.
