eOne has negotiated contract renewals with Candlewick for publishing (the U.S.); DecoPac for cake-decorating (the U.S. and Canada); Fiesta for amusement plush (the U.S. and Canada); GBG Beauty for bath and personal care (the U.S.); Penwizard for publishing (the U.S.); Primary Colors for confectionery and stationery (the U.S. and Canada); and Tin Box for tin ware (the U.S.). Candlewick Entertainment to Debut Book Series Based on Educational Insights Games

SneakySnackySquirrelGameCandlewick Entertainment, an imprint of Candlewick Press, acquired world rights in all languages to a series of books based on games from Educational Insights. This marks the debut of a licensing program for Educational Insights.

The Sneaky, Snacky Squirrel will be the first title and feature a lift-the-flap board book, which will be published this summer in the U.S. and Canada by Candlewick Entertainment and in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand by Walker Entertainment. This tree-shaped board book explores counting and color concepts.

 

Super Wing Season Two Prepares for Takeoff on Sprout

SuperWingsThe Alpha Group US LLC, a subsidiary of The Alpha Group, announced the season two launch of Super Wings on Sprout this week.

The original preschool series follows an adorable jet plane named Jett who travels the world delivering packages to children. On every delivery, Jett encounters a new problem that he and his friends the Super Wings must work together to solve. Season two will feature new story-lines, destinations, and characters.

Fisher-Price Named Master Toy Partner for New Series Kingdom Force

Fisher-Price_KingdomForceBoat Rocker and Industrial Brothers named Fisher-Price master toy partner for the new original series Kingdom Force.

Kingdom Force was created by Industrial Brothers’ Matt Fernandes and will be co-produced by Industrial Brothers and Boat Rocker Studios. Boat Rocker will distribute the series internationally and manage the merchandising and licensing for the brand on all platforms, as well as leading the digital and brand initiatives. Acquired from Brazilian-based Mixer Films, Vivi follows seven year old Vivi and her friends, Backpack and Flashy, as they embark on magical journeys to fantastic new places while learning something about the world and ultimately themselves. 9 Story Distribution International acquired all international rights to the 26 x 11 minute series, excluding Latin America, where the series is set to air on Discovery Kids. Sesame Workshop to Expand Sesame Street and Autism Content this Year

SesameWorkshop_JuliaSesame Workshop announced a new phase of the autism initiative Sesame Street and Autism: See Amazing in All Children, which welcomes Julia, a Muppet with autism. Julia was introduced last year in digital form and will come to life as a Muppet, in addition to a release of resources designed to increase awareness and understanding of autism.

The See Amazing library will add digital videos, books, and e-books, which will be available in English and Spanish. The “Meet Julia” special episode airs on next month on HBO and PBS KIDS in the U.S. and around the world on Cartoonito UK, Australia’s ABC network, and Mexico’s Televisa, with worldwide rollout planned within the year. Teletubbies Returns to German TV on KiKa

teletubbiescarDHX Media  signed an exclusive deal with ZDF to launch season one of its new Teletubbies series on children’s channel KiKA in Germany. The launch builds on the original version of the preschool series that first aired in Germany in 1999.

The global licensing program for the new Teletubbies series is growing rapidly, with more than 85 partners signed to date. The series follows the same four characters and styling as the original show, but brings a contemporary look and feel to the preschool properties. The series has been picked up by 24 broadcasters worldwide, as well as Amazon Prime Video in the U.K., where the commissioning broadcaster is CBeebies.
