Sesame Workshop Elmo’s #ShareTheLaughter Challenge to Spread Kindness

Sesame WorkshopSesaneStreet_KindnessCampaign launched Elmo’s #ShareTheLaughter Challenge, a social media campaign inspired by season 47 of Sesame Street. The culmination of a yearlong “Spread Kindness, Share the Laughter” initiative, the campaign encourages viewers to tell their favorite jokes in short videos, post them online, and tag friends to do the same.

In the kickoff video, comedian Kate McKinnon shared a joke with Elmo and challenged Cookie Monster to make a video of his own. Other celebrity participants including Josh Groban, Andy GrammerMatt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie, Padma Lakshmi, and Drew Scott Additional celebrities to be featured in future videos, include Ilana Glazer, Kit Harington, Gwendoline Christie, Sophie Turner, Alessia Cara, Shaun White, Lindsay Vonn, and John Legend. Genius Brands Expands Licensing Program for New Preschool Series Rainbow Rangers

Rainbow Rangers newGenius Brands International Inc. continues to build the licensing program for its animated preschool series Rainbow Rangers with the appointment of new licensees, including Global Design Concepts Inc. for bags and luggage, Handcraft for underwear, and Taste Beauty for bath and beauty products.

Currently in development on season one and two Rainbow Rangers is slated to premiere next with a retail program spearheaded by master toy partner Fisher-Price Toys. Previously announced licensing partners include H.E.R. Accessories for accessories), Bentex for apparel) and Franco Manufacturing for bedding and home décor.

Rainbow Rangers is a behind-the-curtain peek at the lives of Earth’s First Responders whose mission is to help protect the earth’s environment and its animal inhabitants. The series blends fantasy and action-adventure with relatable stories about friendship and saving the environment.

 

New Episodes of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood to Premiere Beginning Next Month

DanielTiger_KingDanielNew episodes of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood will debut in the beginning of September with the premiere of the half hour special “King Daniel for the Day”, followed by the launch of three additional episodes from The Fred Rogers Co.on PBS KIDS.

In “King Daniel for the Day,” Daniel Tiger is curious about what it’s like to be king, and King Friday dubs Daniel King for the Day. Daniel discovers that the most important part of a king’s job is kindness towards his neighbors. Nelvana, Sprout Enter Broadcast Deal to Bring Ranger Rob TV Series to the U.S.

RangerRobCorus Entertainment’s Nelvana entered a broadcast deal with Sprout to bring its original series Ranger Rob to the U.S. The animated series’ first and second seasons began airing in July on Sprout.

Ranger Rob follows ranger-in-training Rob around the Big Sky Park as he ziplines, swings, and snowboards, discovering and exploring all that the park has to offer. Spin Master Expands PAW Patrol Roll Patrol Road Tour in the U.S.

Spin Master Ltd PAW PatrolSpin Master Corp. will debut the third annual PAW Patrol Roll Patrol Road Tour, a multi-city tour that combines the toy line with the preschool. The tour kicks off on July 28 and will run until October, traveling throughout North America.

Each PAW Patrol Roll Patrol Road Tour stop is free to the public and will make stops at select Walmart, Toys “R” Us, and Target retail locations in 13 different markets. Kids can explore the inside of the life-size PAW Patroller, meet PAW Patrol characters, and reenact rescue missions through an interactive play experience featuring the new Sea Patrol theme. eOne Adds New PJ Masks Broadcast, Merchandise Partners in Australia

eOne_PJEntertainment One (eOne) signed a new free to air broadcast partner for its preschool superhero series PJ Masks in Australia where consumer products are poised to launch this summer.

PJ Masks debuted on air in Australia last year on Disney Junior. The show will expand its audience reach when broadcast is extended to terrestrial channel ABC KIDS, which will begin airing series one from in July. eOne’s Peppa Pig Takes Home Trio of Awards at Multimir Children’s Festival

PeppaPigEntertainment One (eOne)’s Peppa Pig won three awards at Multimir’s inaugural awards ceremony, which kicked off on May 31 and ran until June 4 in Moscow.
