eOne Expands Peppa Pig Licensing Partnership with New and Current Partners

PeppaPigEntertainment One (eOne) renewed and added additional Peppa Pig licensees for new product debuts at retail next year.

New Peppa Pig products from existing products include a 2-in-1 kid-sized Flip-Open Sofa with removable and machine-washable slipcover from Spin Master; backpacks and lunch bags from Accessory Innovations; digital watches from Accutime; a bedding set from Baby Boom; new bedding and bath collections from Character World in Partnership with Franco Manufacturing Co. Inc.; and underwear for girls and toddlers from Handcraft.

Newly-appointed licensees Berskshire Fashions and Hamco Inc. will introduce a cold weather set from and toddler bibs and table toppers, respectively.

The Peppa Pig preschool entertainment brand continues to generate more than $1.2 billion in global retail sales per year. The brand has more than 1,000 licensees worldwide. The show airs in more than 180 territories and has been translated in more than 40 languages.

eOne Announces FTA Broadcaster, First Partners for PJ Masks in Mexico

PJMasksEntertainment One (eOne) secured free to air broadcaster (FTA) Televisa for PJ Masks, which will begin airing the first season of the preschool series in Mexico next month. Televisa will broadcast the show in addition to co-production partner Disney Junior, where the show airs daily across the Latin America region.

Bandai México is the distributor for Just Play’s master global toy line in Mexico. The initial toy range launched exclusively in the market via Liverpool stores in August, where local media and bloggers were present to celebrate the launch.

eOne has negotiated contract renewals with Candlewick for publishing (the U.S.); DecoPac for cake-decorating (the U.S. and Canada); Fiesta for amusement plush (the U.S. and Canada); GBG Beauty for bath and personal care (the U.S.); Penwizard for publishing (the U.S.); Primary Colors for confectionery and stationery (the U.S. and Canada); and Tin Box for tin ware (the U.S.). Peppa Pig Theater Debut Finds Success in Australia and the UK

PeppaPigeOne’s Peppa Pig My First Cinema Experience: Peppa’s Australian Holiday marked the theatrical debut for Peppa Pig in Australia, where the release hit 241 screens across the country and debuted at no. 6 in the overall box office chart. Since it opened last month, the release has earned box office receipts of AUS $2.16 million.

The Peppa Pig My First Cinema Experience also premiered on April 7 in the UK screening in more than 500 cinemas nationwide. Candlewick Entertainment to Debut Book Series Based on Educational Insights Games

SneakySnackySquirrelGameCandlewick Entertainment, an imprint of Candlewick Press, acquired world rights in all languages to a series of books based on games from Educational Insights. This marks the debut of a licensing program for Educational Insights.

The Sneaky, Snacky Squirrel will be the first title and feature a lift-the-flap board book, which will be published this summer in the U.S. and Canada by Candlewick Entertainment and in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand by Walker Entertainment. This tree-shaped board book explores counting and color concepts.

 

Super Wing Season Two Prepares for Takeoff on Sprout

SuperWingsThe Alpha Group US LLC, a subsidiary of The Alpha Group, announced the season two launch of Super Wings on Sprout this week.

The original preschool series follows an adorable jet plane named Jett who travels the world delivering packages to children. On every delivery, Jett encounters a new problem that he and his friends the Super Wings must work together to solve. Season two will feature new story-lines, destinations, and characters.

Fisher-Price Named Master Toy Partner for New Series Kingdom Force

Fisher-Price_KingdomForceBoat Rocker and Industrial Brothers named Fisher-Price master toy partner for the new original series Kingdom Force.

Kingdom Force was created by Industrial Brothers’ Matt Fernandes and will be co-produced by Industrial Brothers and Boat Rocker Studios. Boat Rocker will distribute the series internationally and manage the merchandising and licensing for the brand on all platforms, as well as leading the digital and brand initiatives. Fisher-Price, BabyFirst Partner to Develop Parenting Tips Video Series
