Zag, Method Animation, and Planeta Junior (Planeta & DeAgostini Group) partnered for co-production on the development of five upcoming animated TV series under the Zag Heroez label.
The collaboration starts with two Zag Heroez animated series Power Players, which features a team of secret heroes formed by a boy and his toys, and Pixigirl, which tells the story of a super-heroine with the supernatural powers of Mother Nature who battles evil witches in New York. Sprout will expand its growing original programming lineup with the addition of Remy and Boo. The series will premiere on Sprout next year.
Set in the near future, Remy and Boo is a CGI- animated series that tells the story of the friendship between five-year-old Remy and her newfound robot friend Boo, who is programmed to learn and feel real emotions. The show follows their journey of love, friendship, and what it truly means to be human.

The global, ad-free, preschool entertainment platform Hopster is now available to Roku users in the U.S., Canada, the UK, and Ireland, as well as in France with a localized French language app.
The Hopster channel for Roku devices is designed to be easy-to-use for kids, and provides preschool entertainment without ads or inappropriate content. Hopster features series such as, Peppa Pig, Super Why!, Teletubbies, Reading Rainbow, and Monster Math Squad. Content will vary by country, but all content available on Hopster is carefully selected to support the Hopster Discovery Learning Map, which is a curriculum for preschool learning. Licensing Works! will expand the Mundo Lanugo licensing program initiatives for its client Lanugo Inc., a multi-platform Spanish language preschool property.
In December, a line-up of Mundo Lanugo Christmas carols were released. Licensing Works! plans to expand its outreach and currently seeks licensing partners for this year’s Christmas merchandise, which will include plush, books, toys, games, music, ornaments, apparel, packaged grocery, live touring shows, and in-store promotional programs.
This January, Mundo Lanugo was featured at Macy’s in an expanded Three Kings celebration for the fourth consecutive year as part of the New Year celebrations.
Bonnier Publishing USA announced that in September its licensed property Sizzle Press will release original storybooks featuring characters from the Sago Mini apps for toddlers and preschoolers.
