eOne Adds Content, New Global Partners for Peppa Pig

Peppa Pig logoEntertainment One (eOne) started production on a new series of Peppa Pig. The show’s animation studio, Astley Baker Davies, will produce the new series, bringing the total number of Peppa Pig episodes to 381.

New episodes from Series 7 continue to roll out on air to the end of 2018. The 117 new episodes currently in production will then launch on air globally from Spring 2019, to coincide with the brand’s 15th anniversary and will secure a pipeline of Peppa Pig content over the following four years. TCG Extends Collection with New Licensees for Puzzles, Games, Accessories

The company acquired the Hometown trademark, featuring the work of folk artist Harry Wysocki, also known as Heronim. In addition, TCG expands into home décor for the first time with its new Tidy Town line of storage and play units inspired by kids’ properties. eOne has negotiated contract renewals with Candlewick for publishing (the U.S.); DecoPac for cake-decorating (the U.S. and Canada); Fiesta for amusement plush (the U.S. and Canada); GBG Beauty for bath and personal care (the U.S.); Penwizard for publishing (the U.S.); Primary Colors for confectionery and stationery (the U.S. and Canada); and Tin Box for tin ware (the U.S.). eOne’s Peppa Pig Named Best New Property at Asia Licensing Awards

Entertainment One (eOne)’s Peppa Pig  was named Best New Property at the Asia Licensing Awards, which took place recently at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center this month.

This year, eOne strengthened the presence of Peppa Pig in Asia. Broadcast and merchandise launched in South Korea last October and merchandise became widely available across South East Asia, including Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Peppa Pig also became one of the most popular programs for preschoolers in mainland China. Peppa Pig China Since its launch on-air in China last year, Entertainment One’s Peppa Pig has over 5.4 billion views on its three on demand platforms, IQIY, Youku and Tudou. Peppa Pig logoEntertainment One (eOne), co-owners and worldwide distributors of global preschool property Peppa Pig, has named Corus Entertainment’s Nelvana, a worldwide children’s entertainment producer and distributor, as the property’s exclusive licensing and branding agent in Canada. Peppa Pig, which airs weekdays on Treehouse in Canada, will expand its footprint in North America with a consumer products initiative set to roll out to mass market stores across the region in fall of next year.
