Peanuts Worldwide Names CPLG Agent in France and UK

PeanutsWorldwidePeanuts Worldwide appointed CPLG as the licensing agent for the Peanuts in France and the United Kingdom, effective January 1, and in the Middle East, effective immediately. CPLG will oversee the Peanuts licensing program across a wide range of product categories including apparel, toy, food and beverage, and publishing. Peanuts Worldwide and CPLG are both subsidiaries of DHX Media.

Peanuts, Uniqlo to Launch New Kaws X Peanuts UT Collection

PeanutsLogoUniqlo will release a second Peanuts collection for the brand’s UT (Uniqlo T-shirts) range with New York-based artist Kaws. The collection will feature all-black, NYC-inspired designs in honor of Black Friday. Items will be available for men, women, and kids at most Uniqlo stores nationwide and at in late November.

 The collection will feature four styles for men and children and two styles for women. Snoopy plush toys that feature Kaws’ signature crossed-out eyes will also be available in large and small sizes.

The first Kaws × Peanuts UT collection launched last spring.

Peanuts Worldwide, Cedar Fair Extend Peanuts Licensing Agreement

PeanutsPeanuts Worldwide, a subsidiary controlled by DHX Media Ltd., and Cedar Fair L.P. renewed the license agreement to feature the Peanuts characters—created by Charles M. Schulz—throughout Cedar Fair’s 11 amusement park locations. The new agreement extends Cedar Fair’s North American exclusive use of Peanuts in its attractions, entertainment and sports, food and beverage, lodging, and retail operations to 2025. An added five-year option, exercisable at Cedar Fair’s discretion, brings the potential contract extension to 2030.


DDM Entertainment & Events, Peanuts Worldwide Partner for Chinese Lantern Festivals

PeanutsWorldwideDDM Entertainment & Events Inc. partnered with Peanuts Worldwide to feature the Peanuts characters in Chinese lantern festivals. The agreement allows DDM to mount Peanuts-branded lantern festivals in regions including the People’s Republic of China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, North America, and Europe.

The app was released last month and features text-ready animations that feature Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Woodstock, Lucy, Linus, and more characters from the brand. Fans can choose from more than 100 images to create customizable, short movie messages.

Peanuts Worldwide Renews Long-Term Partnership With Sony Creative Products

Peanuts Worldwide renewed its long-term partnership with Sony Creative Products (SCP) to manage and grow its business in Japan.

SCP, in charge of the Peanuts in Japan since 2010, will play a critical role in planning and executing the 2018 celebration of the 50 anniversary of Peanuts in Japan.

SCP has strategically grown the Peanuts business in Japan, with 23 Snoopy Town Shop Stores and three Peanuts cafes, and also helped launch the Snoopy Museum Tokyo, an  off-shoot of the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center in Santa Rosa.

Peanuts Products Debut in Bakeries Nationwide

Mar3.SnoopyCakePeanuts Worldwide LLC and DecoPac have entered a multi-year license agreement to offer cake, cupcake, and dessert decorations for the Peanuts characters, Snoopy, and Snoopy’s sister, Belle. New cake and cupcake designs will be offered throughout the year at leading retailers nationwide.

To launch the program, Valentine’s Day cake designs highlighting Snoopy and Belle were recently featured at a Peanuts-themed Valentine’s Day Party with Francesca Capaldi, who will star as Charlie Brown’s Little Red-Haired Girl in the Twentieth Century Fox and Blue Sky Studios Peanuts 3-D feature film, set to debut worldwide on November 6. Partygoers at the Park Hyatt in Carlsbad, CA enjoyed Snoopy and Belle Valentine’s cake and decorated their own Valentine’s Day-themed cupcakes.

DecoPac will launch seasonal and movie-themed products, which will continue to roll out throughout the year. Peanuts will also be featured in graduation, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas designs.
