Genius Brands Names Margaret Loesch as Executive Chairman of Kid Genius Cartoon Channel

Loesch comes with four decades of experience working with children’s broadcasting and family entertainment with brands including Smurfs, My Little Pony, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, X-Men, Jim Henson’s Muppet Babies, Animaniacs, and Transformers. Loesch will collaborate with Pierson to advise on the development of channel brand strategy, ways to expand its coverage, and work to build advertiser participation.

MarVista Entertainment Expands Executive Team

In her new position, Bailey will provide marketing support and coordination across Rocket’s growing portfolio of brands. She will be involved in marketing duties within Rocket, including creating sales and marketing presentations, liaising with partners, helping to facilitate events for brands, and undertaking office administration and support.

Bailey joins Rocket after extensive work experience in children’s media.

Jim Henson Company Appoints Federico San Martin As Vice President, Global Consumer Products

The announcement was made on June 2 by Peter Schube, the company’s president and COO, to whom San Martin will report. In his new role, San Martin will oversee licensing activities for the company’s children’s brands, including Dinosaur Train, Sid the Science Kid, and Doozers. He will also spearhead programs for new properties, and manage licensing for the company’s Henson Independent Properties (HIP) brands.

San Martin joins The Jim Henson Company from DreamWorks Studios where he served as head of global toys. In his past position, San Martin successfully developed the retail programs for properties such as How to Train Your Dragon, and created strategies for the DreamWorks and classic media portfolios. Prior to his role at DreamWorks, San Martin managed more than 60 licensees at Warner Bros. Consumer Products where he executed cross-promotional initiatives, gaining extensive experience in the Latin American licensing market. He has also held various roles at Mattel and Pop Rocket.
