Brand Central Expands Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood Licensing Program

mr-rogers-popBrand Central, is expanding the consumer products program for the children’s series from Fred Rogers Productions. A host of new products – from collectible figures to Mister Rogers’ signature red sweater and more – will be on the way to retail in “neighborhoods” from coast-to-coast this year.

The new line features licensees including American Classics for men’s and women’s T-shirts and loungewear; Aquarius for calendars, playing cards, puzzles, games, buttons, magnets, and tin boxes; boldSOCKS for socks; Funko forPop! figures and plush; Isaac Morris Ltd. for sweaters and outerwear; ODM for T-shirts and sweatshirts; Philcos for apparel available exclusively in Canada; Surreal Entertainment for beverageware, fleece throws, pins, lanyards, and desk accessories; Trau and Loevner for fashion tops, fleece, and T-shirts; Unemployed Philosophers Guild for mugs, mints, bar soap, enamel pins, and sticky notes; and Wizhead for paper craft models.

 

Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood Toy Range to Launch at Toys “R” Us This Fall

PBS Kids Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood is coming to Toys “R” Us this fall. As part of its new agreement with brand owner The Fred Rogers Company and licensing agency Out of the Blue Enterprises, Toys “R” Us will unveil a selection of plush, playsets, and collectible figures featuring characters Daniel Tiger, Katerina Kittycat, Miss Elaina, Prince Wednesday, and O the Owl. JAKKS Pacific is the North American Master Toy Licensee for the property. The debut toy collection will be available exclusively at Toys “R” Us stores nationwide and at Toysrus.com beginning in September.

The new toy line for children ages 2-4 includes Daniel Tiger and Katerina Kittycat plush. Additional new offerings include a 7-inch mini plush assortment featuring Daniel Tiger and his friends, 2-pack sets of 2.75-inch collectible figures of the key characters, collectible figures gift pack featuring all five featured characters, neighborhood trolley with a Daniel Tiger figure, an all-in-one playset with Daniel Tiger and Prince Wednesday figures, Daniel’s Imagination Bungalow play set with a Daniel Tiger Figure, and a 3-in-1 Imagination Treehouse play set with Daniel Tiger, Katerina Kittycat, and O the Owl figures.

Other Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood merchandise includes games and puzzles from University Games, books from Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing imprint Simon Spotlight, and personalized t-shirts available on Toysrus.com and Toys “R” Us Times Square through partner Ty’s Toy Box.

Inspired by Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood stars 4-year-old Daniel Tiger, son of the original program’s Daniel Striped Tiger, who invites pre-schoolers into the colorful Neighborhood of Make-Believe. As they follow and share Daniel’s everyday adventures, viewers learn strategies and skills. The theme of each episode is reinforced by musical strategies.

Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing Named Master Publishing Licensee for Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood

Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing has been named master publishing licensee for PBS KidsDaniel Tiger’s Neighborhood. Under its agreement with brand owner The Fred Rogers Company and licensing agency Out of the Blue Enterprises, Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing will introduce a range of books based on the animated show, the first TV series from The Fred Rogers Company since Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. The first titles in the publishing program will launch next January.

As part of the publishing program, Simon & Schuster imprint Simon Spotlight will produce a variety of story, picture, novelty, activity, and coloring books, as well as non-interactive e-books.

Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood launched last year on PBS Kids. Over the past six months, the series has consistently been among the top 10 programs across all networks for kids ages 2-5, and moms ages 18-49 with children under age 3, according to Nielsen Npower national program ratings.*
