Masha and the Bear to Extend Global Media Reach, Consumer Products, Live Shows

Clan TV released the first two seasons in Spain over the summer, and Viacom18 Media Pvt. Ltd. aired the first two seasons, spin-offs Masha’s Spooky stories, and Masha’s Tales to India. Turner Broadcasting System bought the rights for the season three to release on Cartoon Network in Latin America, and RAI and De Agostini have picked up up season three and spin-off Masha’s Spooky Stories in Italy. Canal Plus and France TV have taken Masha’s Spooky Stories and season three respectively, and Poland Puls TV is on board for Masha’s Spooky Stories. Spin Master Debuts Masha and The Bear Toy Line

SpinMaster LogoSpin Master Corp. launched new licensed toys based off of the animated series Masha and the Bear. The line will be available exclusively at Toys “R” Us in the U.S. and Canada. Masha and the Bear streams on Netflix in the U.S. and airs on Teletoon in Canada. Spin Master’s Masha and the Bear includes plush toys, soft dolls, and a play set.

 

MD Licensing, Galbani Partner to Bring Masha and the Bear to Mealtime

MashaandtheBear_GalbaniCheeseMaurizio Distefano Licensing added to the licensing campaign for the preschool animated series Masha and the Bear. Galbani is supplying a Masha and the Bear fridge magnet in every pack of its Crema Bel Paese spreadable cheese triangles. With 23 to collect, each magnet is illustrated with pictures of characters from the show.

 

Masha and the Bear Signs Three New Licensees

Maurizio Distefano Licensing entered into three new partnerships for its preschool property Masha and the Bear in the Italian food and accessories markets.

Swiss Eyewear Group will develop a line of Masha and the Bear sunglasses for kids ages 3 to 8. The glasses will offer different styles and colors, and feature 100-percent polarized lenses, anti-shock frames, and a modern design, ensuring maximum protection from glare.

Acqua Sant’Anna will produce and market Masha and the Bear fruit juices, iced decaffeinated tea, and still and sparkling mineral water in various sizes, starting from the easy-to-carry 25 cl bottle, up to 33cl and 50cl bottles.

PreGel will offer Italian ice cream stores flavors inspired by the series, including hazelnut, chocolate, pink sweets, and a series of themed decorations for ice cream topping.

Masha and The Bear Comes to Life on Ice

Ink Global will launch an ice show based on Russian animation Masha and The Bear next year. The show will tour Slovakia and the Czech Republic before touring other countries in the EuropDec22.MashaonIceean Union. Slovak and Czech authors and artists wrote the script, choreographed, and produced the design of the new ice show, which will combine dance and figure skating with 3-D projection effects.

Masha and the Bear Expands Audience

Oct3.GrowingAudienceKids’ animated TV show Masha and the Bear continues to expand its audience, which includes more than 100 countries worldwide. The cartoon successfully launched in the UK on Turner Broadcasting’s preschool channel, Cartoonito, in July.

Ink Global, which represents the broadcasting and licensing sectors for the show, recently signed pan-European deals with Egmont and Simba Dickie for publishing and toys, respectively.

The cartoon chronicles the adventures of a little girl called Masha, and the bear who becomes her reluctant playmate. New episodes will begin screening October 13.

Ink Opens BLE with Masha and Subway Surfers

Oct1.MashaInk will showcase Subway Surfers and Masha and the Bear at the Brand Licensing Europe show in London from Oct. 7-9.

Subway Surfers is an app that features young graffiti artists who must evade capture after being spotted by an angry railway security guard and his dog. The game is the second most popular game on the planet with over half a billion downloads by the end of the year. A Subway Surfers animation is currently in development.

Masha and the Bear chronicles the adventures of a little girl and a bear who become playmates. Agreements are in place with major broadcasters around the world to screen the cartoon. Ink plans to taking the brand into the consumer products field through a global network of sub-agents.

Ink Reveals Simba Dickie as Master Toy Licensee for Masha and the Bear

May27.MashaSimba Dickie has become the master toy licensee for award-winning Russian animation Masha and the Bear. The deal covers Eastern Europe, GAS, Iberia, the Nordics, Benelux, France, Italy, and the UK.

Simba Dickie will develop a line including plush, construction, wooden toys, summer toys, wheeled toys, and arts and crafts. They are set to launch during Q1 next year.

The agreement is one of the preliminary steps in the global licensing program for Masha and the Bear. Ink would like to expand the show’s success in the Russian market, which currently has over one hundred partners in categories including publishing, puzzles, confectionery, home decorations, digital, toys, and fashion.
