Genius Brands Promotes Two Executives to SVP

Kid Genius Cartoon Channel president Deb Pierson was named as SVP, global content distribution and marketing, and Lloyd Mintz was promoted to SVP of worldwide consumer products. In her new role, Pierson will be charged with oversight of Genius Brand’s global content distribution business for its catalog of animation properties, including SpacePOP, Llama Llama, Rainbow Rangers, Baby Genius, Warren Buffett’s Secret Millionaires Club, and Thomas Edison’s Secret Lab. CEO of SG Companies to Retire and Transition Matt Feiner Next Year

Feiner has more than 25 years of experience in the footwear industry. He most recently spent six years as SVP/GM of Stride Rite’s Wholesale Division, a division of Wolverine World Wide. Prior to Stride Rite, Feiner held several sales, product, and merchandising positions at Reebok.

 

Genius Brands Names Margaret Loesch as Executive Chairman of Kid Genius Cartoon Channel

Loesch comes with four decades of experience working with children’s broadcasting and family entertainment with brands including Smurfs, My Little Pony, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, X-Men, Jim Henson’s Muppet Babies, Animaniacs, and Transformers. Loesch will collaborate with Pierson to advise on the development of channel brand strategy, ways to expand its coverage, and work to build advertiser participation.

The Fred Rogers Co. Names Paul Siefken as President and CEO

paul-fredrogersThe Fred Rodgers Co. named Paul Siefken president and CEO, effective January 1. Currently vice president of broadcast and digital media, Siefken succeeds longtime company president and CEO Bill Isler who is retiring from the company.
Before joining The Fred Rogers Co., Siefken spent nearly 10 years at PBS, most recently as director of Children’s Programming. Prior to that, he managed sponsored promotions and media relations as well as produced interactive content for Cartoon Network.

Carol Nygren Named Vice President of Worldwide Live Entertainment for NBCUniversal Brand Development

Robert Bakish Named Acting President and CEO of Viacom Inc.
