Nelvana Expands Partners for Soft’n Slo Squishies

soft n squishiesCorus Entertainment’s Nelvana will work with licensees for the Soft’n Slo Squishies brand’s consumer products program. Nelvana Enterprises is the global licensing representative for the collectibles line from ORB, which has sold millions of units globally.

The new Soft’n Slo Squishies products launching this fall include Hybrid Apparel for girls’ apparel, Komar Kids for sleepwear, and JCorp for girls’ apparel in Canada. Additionally, Jellifish Kids will produce licensed sleepwear, underwear, and swimwear in Canada, as well as for mid-tier and specialty lines in the U.S. Nelvana will round out the program with home décor, accessories, publishing, social expressions, and novelty products.

 

9 Story Media Group Launches New Consumer Products Division

9 story brands9 Story Media Group will launch a new consumer products division, 9 Story Brands. Following 9 Story Media Group’s recent acquisition of Out of the Blue Enterprises, 9 Story Brands brings Out of the Blue’s and 9 Story’s licensing endeavors together under the new division. 9 Story Brands officially launches next week at Licensing Expo in Las Vegas.

The new consumer products group will focus on building global kids brands on and off-screen, allowing audiences multi-dimensional experiences with their favorite characters. 9 Story Brands will be co-managed by 9 Story’s Kristin Lecour and Out of the Blue’s Kyra Halperin, with both reporting to 9 Story’s chief strategy officer, Natalie Osborne. Lecour will lead international efforts and Halperin will direct U.S. based initiatives.

In addition, 9 Story Media Group redesigned its corporate logo, marketing assets, website, and more for a new contemporary look

 

 

My Singing Monsters to Debut at Licensing Expo

Oct24.MySingingMonstersBig Blue Bubble partnered with Wind Sun Sky Entertainment and Skybound Entertainment to host licensing discussions at the Licensing Expo next month to expand the My Singing Monsters brand. The franchise development will be led by Wind Sun Sky Entertainment’s Catherine Winder.

The licensing program will include collectible merchandise, toys, and lifestyle products. Wind Sun Sky Entertainment and Skybound Entertainment will also adapt the mobile game into an animated series.

BBC Studios to Showcase Portfolio of Brands at Licensing Expo 2018

Hey Duggee: Series 2: Ep26 The Obstacle Course BadgeBBC Studios, which recently merged with BBC Worldwide to form a singular commercial entity, will showcase a range of brands including Doctor Who, Top Gear, BBC Earth, Hey Duggee, Something Special, and Strictly Come Dancing.

Doctor Who will debut a new season, which will include Jodie Whittaker as the first female doctor in the series. Renewed licensees include Titan for for figurines, apparel, and gifts and novelties in the U.S., Canada, and the UK; Funko for Pop! Vinyl figurines and novelties in the U.S., Canada, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand; Lady Sandra for home goods, comforters, pillows, and more in the U.S. and Canada; and Rabbit Tanaka for lighting, mirrors, clocks, and wall décor in the U.S. and Canada. Epic Rights, Perryscope to Expand Global Retail Brand for Jimi Hendrix

JimiHendrixAuthentic Hendrix, Epic Rights, and Perryscope Productions will launch the new Authentic Hendrix global retail program at the Licensing Expo in Las Vegas from May 22 to 24.

Retailers, manufacturers, and licensees can view the new Authentic Hendrix brand guide with new photographs, logos, lyrics, album, and fashion inspired by Jimi Hendrix. The program will include fashion apparel, headwear, footwear, tops, figures, wall art, accessories, jewelry, home décor, digital products, collectibles, and never-before-licensed products  handed down from Authentic Hendrix and Experience Hendrix.  The new merchandise will be available at retail beginning this summer.

LIMA Announces 2018 LIMA Rising Stars

LIMA Cares Charity Bike Ride to Kick Off Licensing Expo

LIMACaresCharityBikeRideThe 2nd Annual Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association (LIMA) Cares Charity Bike Ride will take place on Sunday, May 20. The event features a 28-mile bike ride through the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, with a 15 mile option also available.
