Epic Rights, Merch By Amazon to Launch Apparel and Accessories

EpicRightsEpic Rights partnered with Merch by Amazon to sell Epic Rights’ artists official apparel and cellphone accessories on Amazon.com. The initial product launch includes classic and fashionable shirts for men, women, and kids, featuring graphics from KISS, Aerosmith, and John Lennon.

Epic Rights will add product categories to the program and build out programs for its complete roster of artists, including AC/DC, David Bowie, Billy Joel, Def Leppard, Celine Dion, ZZ Top, Duran Duran, Wham!, Marc Anthony, Sting, Cypress Hill, Lionel Richie, Lyrics by Lennon & McCartney, Woodstock Festival, and more.

 

KISS Added 125 New Worldwide Licensing Partners Last Year

KISSLast year, KISS reached 125 new licensing partners worldwide, adding to its portfolio of licensing and merchandising products from over the past 43 years. This year, KISS will prepare for a new European tour.

Epic Rights, KISS’ exclusive worldwide licensing and merchandising partner, shared the roster of 125 new licensing partners. New licensees with worldwide rights include: comic books and graphic novels from Dynamite Entertainment; digital mobile video game from Sproing Publishing; emojis, stickers, frames, overlays, themes, wallpapers, and avatars from Swyft Media; photo booths and branded prints from Apple Industries; carbon racing bikes from Sciacallo Bikes; 3-D printed figurines from Staramda; and long hauler model trucks from New Ray Toys. Lisa Streff has been promoted to executive vice president, global licensing at Epic Rights.

Streff will be responsible for directing Epic Rights’ global strategies for artists’ brand development, in addition to establishing partnerships between consumer products and entertainment-based properties. She will spearhead the global licensing, merchandising, and retail efforts of Epic Rights’ growing portfolio of brands, including AC/DC, KISS, John Lennon, Woodstock, CBGB, Aerosmith, Jefferson Airplane, Billy Idol, Def Leppard, Joan Jett, Gary Baseman, and more.

Streff joined Epic Rights from the launch of the company in January 2014 as senior vice president of licensing, focusing on developing licensing and consumer products throughout North America.

Epic Rights Appoints New Licensing Agents

Initially, the new partnerships will focus on brand licensing for Epic Rights’ clients, including KISS, John Lennon, Aerosmith, Billy Idol, Jefferson Airplane, Woodstock, and Gary Baseman.

New appointments include Copyright Promotions Licensing Group (the UK, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Germany, France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and Benelux), Bulls Licensing (Sweden, Finland, Norway, and Denmark), Plus Licens (Central and Eastern Europe), Compañía Panamericana de Licencias (Latin America), Wild Pumpkin (Australia and New Zealand), and Bradford Licensing (India).

Epic Rights Partners with Several North American Licensees for KISS Apparel Lines

August18.KissEpic Rights has finalized agreements with Hybrid Apparel, Fifth Sun, Impact Apparel, Junk Food, and Signorelli in the U.S. and Xtreme Worldwide, Philcos, and Trevco Inc. in Canada to create and deliver a new KISS apparel line. The line is intended to have diverse audience appeal, from youth to adults, and will be available at retailers everywhere across North America. Initial lines will be available this fall, with the majority launching next spring.

The apparel will include T-shirts, fashion tops, hoodies, loungewear, and accessories. It features new artwork inspired by iconic imagery from KISS throughout the years, including band photos, album covers, tour poster art, and new logo development.

Epic Rights will also launch a social media campaign targeting KISS Army fans who pledge their support to KISS, their licensees, and retailers.

Epic Rights, Liquid Blue to Introduce KISS and MLB Co-Branded Apparel Line

August12.KissBaseballEpic Rights has partnered with Major League Baseball (MLB) and apparel licensee Liquid Blue to create a KISS apparel line. The new collection of T-shirts, Play Ball with KISS, will combine the rock fashion sense of KISS with logos representing MLB teams New York Yankees, New York Mets, Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Chicago Cubs, Boston Red Sox, San Francisco Giants, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates, Detroit Tigers, Washington Nationals, Oakland Athletics, and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Under the Play Ball with KISS collection, Liquid Blue will also launch a themed line, Dressed to Kill, and is preparing a second themed apparel line, Locker Plate. Both lines are inspired by the KISS song, “Detroit Rock City,” which will be introduced later this year. The new apparel line is available to fans through online retailers, including the MLB and Liquid Blue websites, and is distributed through MLB team stores, stadium gift shops, and sports retailers. The line is coming soon to mass market and mid-tier department stores.

KISS and Bare Tree Media have partnered to launch the KISS Photo Bomb mobile app in a deal brokered by Live Nation Merchandise. Available as a free app for iOS, the app features both free and premium KISS virtual items. Additional categories of virtual merchandise will be released throughout the year.

KISS Photo Bomb allows fans to “KISSify” their phones and text messages with rock ‘n roll elements from the band. Fans can easily add KISS effects, KISS makeup, KISS band members, KISS frames, and more. Users can instantly share their KISS moments via Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. The app also lets users apply KISS emoticons in text messages. Fans can connect to KISSOnline.com and get up-to-date news on the band and events.

KISS and Epic Rights Partner for Branding, Marketing Program

March26.KissEpic Rights has entered a multi-year merchandise, licensing, e-commerce, and digital media agreement with rock band KISS. The company will work with band members Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons to build the KISS global franchise through a combination of touring, music sales, merchandise, licensing, social media, and promotional partnerships. In addition, Epic Rights will provide full-service music merchandising, including concert merchandise, retail, VIP ticketing, fan experiences, and managing the music artists’ official websites, online shops, and social media.
