Guru Studio Names Toy State as Master Toy Partner for Netflix Series

FremantleMedia Kids & Family, Galaxy Optical Sign Danger Mouse Deal

DangerMouse_ExplosionFremantleMedia Kids & Family signed a deal with Galaxy Optical to produce a range of Danger Mouse inspired frames for Tesco Opticians.

The range will be available this month and distributed by Galaxy Optical in more than 200 Tesco Opticians stores. The collection will include 12 different Danger Mouse designs, accompanied by a bespoke glasses case. For four weeks starting August 26, promotional activity will also be available and will include point of sale (POS), gift-with-purchase, competitions, and more.

Danger Mouse is an animated comedy follows the adventures of the eponymous secret agent and his faithful sidekick Penfold as they engage in mind-blowing missions aided, abetted, and aggravated by a menagerie of old and new allies and adversaries.

 

Genius Brands Expands Licensing Program for New Preschool Series Rainbow Rangers

Rainbow Rangers newGenius Brands International Inc. continues to build the licensing program for its animated preschool series Rainbow Rangers with the appointment of new licensees, including Global Design Concepts Inc. for bags and luggage, Handcraft for underwear, and Taste Beauty for bath and beauty products.

Currently in development on season one and two Rainbow Rangers is slated to premiere next with a retail program spearheaded by master toy partner Fisher-Price Toys. Previously announced licensing partners include H.E.R. Accessories for accessories), Bentex for apparel) and Franco Manufacturing for bedding and home décor.

Rainbow Rangers is a behind-the-curtain peek at the lives of Earth’s First Responders whose mission is to help protect the earth’s environment and its animal inhabitants. The series blends fantasy and action-adventure with relatable stories about friendship and saving the environment.

 

eOne, Jazwares Partner to Debut Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom Exclusive Toy Line

eOne_JazwaresEntertainment One (eOne) partnered with master toy licensee Jazwares to launch a line of toys based on the preschool property Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom, available exclusively at Target. The assortment will be followed by the first book title from newly signed publishing partner Scholastic on October 15.

The line includes Little Castle with Holly, Daisy & Poppy, a 12-inch, two-story play set with accessories and Holly, Daisy, and Poppy figures; Royal Car with Holly & Nanny Plum, an 8-inch purple car equipped with Holly and Nanny Plum figures, and a button on the front of the car that plays the series’ theme song; Magic Movers 4-Pack, which features four buggies, each with their own non-removable figure that moves up and down; the Royal Family 5 Figure Pack, with each outfitted with crowns and wands; Fairy Tea Party, a 5-inch play set that comes with Holly, Violet, and accessories; and World of Ben & Holly Single Packs, which are articulated figures that include Holly and her mirror, Ben with his horn, Jake with his toy robot, and Strawberry and Foo Foo. Gaumont Promotes Tim Stephen to Head of Business and Legal Affairs in the U.S.

Nelvana, Sprout Enter Broadcast Deal to Bring Ranger Rob TV Series to the U.S.

RangerRobCorus Entertainment’s Nelvana entered a broadcast deal with Sprout to bring its original series Ranger Rob to the U.S. The animated series’ first and second seasons began airing in July on Sprout.

Ranger Rob follows ranger-in-training Rob around the Big Sky Park as he ziplines, swings, and snowboards, discovering and exploring all that the park has to offer. Oggy & the Cockroaches Heads to Disney Channel Germany, Switzerland, Austria

OggyFrench animation production company Xilam licensed the third, fourth, and fifth seasons of Oggy & the Cockroaches to Disney Channel in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. The animated comedy series will air on Disney Channel on Monday to Friday afternoons.

Oggy & the Cockroaches follows the prankish misadventures and confrontations between a chubby cat named Oggy and three pesky roaches. The series is distributed in more than 160 countries around the world and is watched in 600 million homes.

Nelvana Launches Digital Media Strategy for Mysticons


MysticonsCorus Entertainment’s Nelvana will launch the YouTube channel and social media pages for its original animated action series, Mysticons.
In anticipation to the upcoming premiere, the Mysticons YouTube channel and social pages are now live, with a website to launch shortly. Fans can watch a preview of the series online before the TV premiere in the U.S. and in Canada next month.
The online presence is part of a social and digital media content strategy involving more than 80 pieces of short-form original content supporting the brand, including introductions to stories and settings from Mysticons, DIY videos, and ive-action content that will be available to fans throughout the season. In addition, web games and an adventure role-play app will launch this fall.
