Jakks Pacific, Stanley Black & Decker Extend Partnership

jakksJakks Pacific Inc. extended and expanded its licensing agreement with Stanley Black & Decker Inc., for the Black & Decker and Stanley brands.

Jakks will continue to exclusively manufacture, market, and distribute Black & Decker branded kids role-play tool toys to all retail channels. A new program will also be introduced, featuring Stanley-branded kids products, including toy hand and power tools and toy workbenches. All products will be available at Walmart in the US and Canada this holiday season.

Jakks Pacific Renews Licensing Agreement with Disney Consumer Products in China

jakksJakks Pacific Inc. renewed its mult-year licensing agreement with Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media in China for merchandising rights for more than 50 properties.

 

The agreement includes Disney princess and Disney Frozen for the large doll category, plus new entertainment properties including Disney’s Moana and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. The deal also covers dress-up, role-play, costumes, and masks and accessories, as well as properties for Disney Tsum Tsum collectibles, action figures, ride-ons, and wagons.

JAKKS Pacific, WBCP Partner for DC Super Hero Girls Global Licensing Program

Jakks_DCSuperHeroGirlsJAKKS Pacific Inc. partnered with Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP), on behalf of DC Entertainment, for a multi-year, global licensing deal to manufacture, market, and distribute large action pose dolls, dress-up, and Get Ready for Action items based on the DC Super Hero Girls universe.

DC Super Hero Girls follows female Super Heroes and Super-Villains of the DC universe during their high school years, before they discover their full super power potential. Each character has their own storyline that explores what teen life is like as a Super Hero, including discovering unique abilities, nurturing powers, and mastering the fundamentals of being a hero.

The DC Super Hero Girls line will be available at retailers this fall.

JAKKS Pacific, Lafig Belgium S.A., Sony Partner for Smurfs Toy Line

Jakks_SmurfsJAKKS Pacific Inc., Lafig Belgium S.A., and Sony Pictures Consumer Products partnered for the global launch of Smurfs toys inspired by the animated film Smurfs: The Lost Village, from Sony Pictures Animation.

Jakks Pacific Enters Licensing Agreements with Cra-Z-Art, Morf, and More

jakksJakks Pacific Inc. signed a manufacturing and distribution agreement with Cra-Z-Art, a division of LaRose Industries LLC, for its Blo-Pens brand of products. The multi-year distribution agreement allows Cra-Z-Art to market, sell, and distribute the branded line of craft and activity airbrushed markers in the U.S. and Latin America. Cra-Z-Art Blo-Pens products will be available this fall. Jakks Pacific Launches Studio JP Content Development Division with China-Based Meisheng’s Rising Anime Studio

jakksJakks Pacific Inc. announced the launch of Studio JP, a division dedicated to creating and developing computer-generated animated content, in a joint venture with China’s Meisheng Cultural & Creative Corp.’s animation studio, Rising Anime. Jakks will have merchandising rights for kids’ consumer products in all markets except China, which Meisheng will spearhead through JAKKS Meisheng Trading (Shanghai) Ltd.

 

Disguise Adds New Lego Costumes this Halloween

Marvel Super Hero Spectacular Returns For the Third Time With New Merchandise and Retail Partners

Marvel Superhero SpectacularDisney Consumer Products and Interactive Media (DCPI) kicked off its third annual ‘Marvel Super Hero Spectacular’ campaign on August 15. The campaign will feature six weeks of product launches, retail promotions, and activities, including a merchandising program celebrating Captain America’s 75th anniversary and the launch of Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War on DVD and Blu-ray. Major retailers at the event will include Walmart, Target, Toys “R” Us, Amazon, Kohl’s, Party City, and Kmart. The event will roll out worldwide and also reach mid-tier retail and specialty stores.

2010 Pinkalicious Products and Licensees Announced

The Joester Loria Group, exclusive licensing agency for Pinkalicious, will make 2010 a milestone year for the Pinkalicious brand with the expansion of the consumer products program and the launch of a whole new collection of Pinkalicious merchandise across multiple product categories.
Ceaco’s product line will include puzzles of all shapes and sizes, for ages 3 and up, including a 24-piece puzzle with glitter, a 24- or 36-piece puzzle with figurine, a 100-piece puzzle, a 24-piece floor puzzle, and a 36-piece puzzle and memory game.
JAKKS Pacific will debut a line of dolls, toys, and activity items inspired by the Pinkalicious book series.
Available at Walmart in fall 2010, the small doll assortment includes three cuddly dolls styled to portray key moments from each of the books in the series. The large doll portrays Pinkalicious in her fairy princess wings and crown; Pinkalicious‘s friend Goldie is brought to life with the Goldilicious plush unicorn; and Pinkalicious fans can be creative with the Pinkalicious Activity Easel, which includes pink paper, pink markers, pink glitter glue, and stickers.
From CDI, Part of the JAKKS group, roleplay items included dresses, tiaras, purses, gloves, and shoes will also be available.
Disguise will launch the Deluxe Pinkalicious Halloween costume, complete with pink dress, wand, and tiara.
Fundex will be launching games, including Pinkalicious Interactive card and board games, plus co-branded games such as Pinkalicious UNO and Pinkalicious Scrabble Jr.
Finally, Madame Alexander Pinkalicious dolls will be available at department and specialty retailers including FAO Schwarz, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, and Barnes & Noble.
