Spirit Halloween to Launch SpacePOP Costumes

SpacePOP_GeniusBrandsFollowing the fourth quarter mass retail launch of SpacePOP, Genius Brands International Inc. announced a new partnership with Spirit Halloween for a direct-to-retail costume and accessories program this year.

Spirit Halloween will design and manufacture the first line of SpacePOP character costumes and accessories, which will debut at more than 1,000 retail locations across the U.S. and Canada beginning this August.  Spirit Halloween joins a roster of partners for SpacePOP products, including apparel, accessories, beauty products, electronics, room décor, books, music, and home entertainment.

 

Genius Brands Names Margaret Loesch as Executive Chairman of Kid Genius Cartoon Channel

margaretloesch_geniusbrandsGenius Brands International Inc. named children’s and family media executive Margaret Loesch as executive chairman of its Kid Genius Cartoon Channel. Loesch will provide counsel to newly-promoted channel president Deb Pierson, as well as expand the platform.

Loesch comes with four decades of experience working with children’s broadcasting and family entertainment with brands including Smurfs, My Little Pony, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, X-Men, Jim Henson’s Muppet Babies, Animaniacs, and Transformers. Loesch will collaborate with Pierson to advise on the development of channel brand strategy, ways to expand its coverage, and work to build advertiser participation.

Genius Brands International, Future Today Partner to Expand Kid Genius Cartoon Channel

Currently available on Comcast’s Xfinity on Demand platform, the Kid Genius Cartoon Channel features original programming, such as Baby Genius, SpacePOP, Warren Buffett’s Secret Millionaires Club, and Thomas Edison’s Secret Lab, as well as shows from other program creators around the world, such as Eddie Is A Yeti and Nancy Drew Codes & Clues. This month, the Kid Genius Cartoon Channel will also be available across platforms, including Roku, Apple, Amazon, Sony, Google, and Samsung.

 

Genius Brands International Launches SpacePOP Apparel Line at Select Kohl’s Stores

spacepopapparelfromjayaGenius Brands International Inc. (GBI) will launch the first apparel program for SpacePOP at select Kohl’s stores nationwide and online this month.

GBI will debut a collection of SpacePOP sportswear from Jaya Apparel for tween girls at Kohl’s including tops, bottoms, skirts, and dresses. The new line will be promoted in a digital marketing campaign, which features YouTube influencers Sophia Grace and Angelic.
