HBO Global Licensing, GES Events Partner for Game of Thrones: The Touring Exhibition

HBO Global Licensing, Vintage Wine Estates Partner for Game of Thrones Wine Collection

GameOfThronesWineHBO Global Licensing and Vintage Wine Estates released a wine collection based off of the HBO drama Game of Thrones.

The line includes Chardonnay, Red Blend, and Cabernet Sauvignon made by Vintage Wine Estates and winemaker Bob Cabral. Glue Creative Thinking Represents Mey Designs for Game of Thrones Jewelry Collaboration

Glue Creative Thinking has brokered a deal for Mey Designs to create a jewelry collection inspired by Game of Thrones TV series.

Game of Thrones‘ costume designer, Michele Clapton, and jewelry brand, Yunus and Eliza, united while working on a piece featured on Daenerys Targaryen during season five.

The dragon necklace worn by Daenerys in Season five and other replicas and inspired-by designs from Seasons five and six are now available to the public. The 22-piece sterling silver collection is available at www.mey.london and at the online HBO Shop in the U.S. (store.hbo.com) and EU (hboshopeu.com).

ThinkGeek and GameStop to Launch Unique Store Concept

ThinkGeekLogoThis fall, online retailer ThinkGeek will partner with GameStop to open a new concept retail store focused entirely on collectibles. The first store will open in the Florida Mall in Orlando on September 25.

ThinkGeek’s stores are intended to feature a wide assortment of collectibles, as well as other licensed products from pop culture brands such as Star Wars, Game of Thrones, Marvel, Nintendo, and more.

ThinkGeek and its parent company, Geeknet, were acquired by retailer GameStop this past June.

Game of Thrones Ascent Launches on Amazon Kindle

The game also syncs up with episodes of season 5 from the show, with new content released each week.

Factory Entertainment Debuts Game of Thrones Collectibles

Among the products to be unveiled is a limited edition prop replica from the series, The Royal Crown of the Houses of Baratheon and Lannister. The crown will be available for purchase this spring.

Funko has launched a Game of Thrones Amazon Exclusive Pop! Bundle. The collection includes exclusive T-shirts and never-before-seen figures from Funko’s Game of Thrones Pop! series. The Bundles, available for pre-order now to celebrate the Season 4 debut of the series on April 6 on HBO, are packaged in two variations based on two of the show’s most popular characters, Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen.

The Jon Snow Bundle includes an exclusive 100 percent cotton black T-shirt featuring Jon Snow in Pop! form, with the message “Jon Snow wants you to join Night’s Watch. Defend the Wall. HBO Debuts New Game of Thrones Merchandise

HBO has debuted new licensed merchandise for the series Game of Thrones at San Diego Comic–Con. Products include The Game of Thrones Comic-Con Exclusive Pop! Ned Stark Figurine, available at HBO online, and the Dark Horse Comics Game of Thrones Figures, which include the prototype figures for Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen slated for a January 2014 release, as well as three additional figures, Tyrion Lannister, Khal Drogo, and Ned Stark that will follow in early May, with a wave of five more characters coming late next summer. Additional products include Game of Thrones: A Pop-Up Guide to Westeros, from Insight Editions; a 4-D Puzzle Map of Westeros, from 4-D Cityscape; and Game of Thrones plush, from Factory Entertainment, set to debut late this year and early next year. 

COMMENTARY: Winter Is Coming with New Game of Thrones Products

As an avid reader of George R.R. Martin’s book series and a regular viewer of the HBO TV series, I could not have been more excited to receive HBO’s announcements of their Game of Thrones-licensed products that were debuted at Comic-Con International in San Diego. New figures, books, puzzles, plush and more are sure to delight Game of Thrones fans and collectors. The new products feature favorite characters as well as cuddly versions of even the prickliest of Westeros’ creatures. (There are probably some spoilers from the series, so proceed with caution.)
