Boat Rocker and Industrial Brothers named Fisher-Price master toy partner for the new original series Kingdom Force.
Kingdom Force was created by Industrial Brothers’ Matt Fernandes and will be co-produced by Industrial Brothers and Boat Rocker Studios. Fisher-Price partnered with BabyFirst to produce short parenting tip videos that will premiere on the BabyFirst broadcast network and on both brand’s digital and social channels beginning on March 20.

Genius Brands International Inc. (GBI) signed Fisher-Price, a subsidiary of Mattel, Inc., as global master toy partner for the new original CGI-animated preschool series, Rainbow Rangers. This spring, Kids Preferred will launch a new line of Fisher-Price developmental toys for infants and toddlers. The range for is based on the brand’s rainforest animal characters with age-appropriate developmental features. The new line of toys are colorful and made for small hands. The range consists of toys that are easy to clean, durable, and portable for parents.
The Fisher-Price collection includes wrist rattles, ring rattles, zippies, and chime & chews.
Trevco has hired Jennifer Nuccio as its vice president of licensing. In her new role she will manage a portfolio of more than 500 licensed properties, including licensors Warner Bros., NBC/Universal, CBS, Paramount, DreamWorks, and 20th Century Fox.
Nuccio will work to identify new opportunities to add to Trevco’s substantial licensing roster and support creative and sales efforts to help fuel the company’s traditional brick-and-mortar sales as well as its growing e-retail business.
Nuccio has more than 10 years experience in the licensing industry beginning at Fisher Price, Mattel and then Iconix. Previously she served as the retail account executive at Fantasia Accessories, a New York-based fashion accessory wholesaler.
Mattel’s Little People series will be available on Sprout’s TV in March. The series is based on the original Fisher Price brand and is recommended for children ages 2 to 5. Little People is an animated musical/comedy series that celebrates the power of play. The ‘little people’ learn that building on one another’s ideas is the best way to have fun.
The Little People Series 1 has already been sold to several broadcasters around the world including Cartoonito, RTL, Discovery Kids, E-TV, TV Cultura, and Televisa.
Rashti & Rashti has acquired Prestige Toy Corporation, a producer of infant plush toy products. Along with the Prestige brand, Rashti & Rashti has obtained several licenses for plush through the deal, including Elf on a Shelf, Fisher Price, Sesame Street, Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, and both Garanimals and Grin and Grow, which are exclusive to Wal-Mart.
Rashti & Rashti will use the acquisition to add to its own licensing portfolio, which includes Carters, Taggies, and Boppy. The company’s expanded line of plush and toys can be seen at Rashti & Rashti’s New York Showroom, as well as at the ABC Kids Expo in October.
Warner Bros. Consumer Products, DC Entertainment, and Warner Bros. Animation have created a wave of new content inspired by toy lines from Mattel and Fisher-Price. Batman Unlimited, based on Mattel’s new toy line, will launch later this year with new made-for-video movies and shorts that will extend the play experience for kids. The International Licensing Industry Merchandiser’s Association (LIMA) will feature Mattel general manager and senior vice president, consumer products Jessi Dunne at its next Young Professional Networking Breakfast on November 18, from 8 to 10 a.m. The special event will take place at Mattel’s headquarters in El Segindo, Calif.
Dunne will share her professional experiences and licensing insight, as well as provide career advice for those who are beginning their careers in the business. Dunne oversees global licensing for Mattel’s portfolio of best-selling brands like Barbie, Hot Wheels, Monster High, American Girl, Thomas & Friends, and Fisher-Price.
In a global partnership centered on early childhood development, Fisher-Price Inc. has partnered with singer Shakira—who is also a mother and philanthropist—and the Barefoot Foundation to create a web series for moms and co-develop a new line of babygear and toys.
The program targets millennials, who make up 80 percent of today’s first-time moms. The collaboration, which is highly digital and focused on sharing opinions and recommendations with other moms, kicks off today with a 12-part web series featuring Shakira’s personal reflections on what her baby has taught her about herself. Other topics include the importance of early childhood development, looking at the world through a child’s eyes, facilitating milestones, and her hopes for raising a future philanthropist.
Segments also celebrate babies’ amazing activity and growth, as well as Shakira’s own parenting journey from a very personal mom-to-mom point of view. The series will be distributed exclusively over digital to 23 countries at one time, delivered via branded social channels and supported with paid media. The content will live within a microsite, which will contain product information on her First Steps Collection, the new Babygear, and infant line of toys Fisher-Price co-developed with Shakira.
