JAKKS Pacific, WBCP Partner for DC Super Hero Girls Global Licensing Program

Jakks_DCSuperHeroGirlsJAKKS Pacific Inc. partnered with Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP), on behalf of DC Entertainment, for a multi-year, global licensing deal to manufacture, market, and distribute large action pose dolls, dress-up, and Get Ready for Action items based on the DC Super Hero Girls universe.

DC Super Hero Girls follows female Super Heroes and Super-Villains of the DC universe during their high school years, before they discover their full super power potential. Each character has their own storyline that explores what teen life is like as a Super Hero, including discovering unique abilities, nurturing powers, and mastering the fundamentals of being a hero.

The DC Super Hero Girls line will be available at retailers this fall.

National Wildlife Federation Expands Ranger Rick Licenses for 50th Anniversary

Gwen Stefani, Mattel Give First Look at New Fashion Doll Line

A sneak peek at Gwen Stefani’s new fashion doll lineMattel GwenStefani from Mattel was recently released. The new line, Kuu Kuu Harajuku will be available in the spring. Stefani’s new animated series, Kuu Kuu Harajuku premiered on Nickelodeon in the U.S. this month.

 

Auldey Toys Enchants with New Line of Regal Academy Fashion Dolls

Regal AcademyAuldey Toys of North America will be the master toy licensee for Regal Academy, an animated television series created by Rainbow and currently airing on Nickelodeon.

Designed for kids ages five and older, the full line of fashion dolls will launch next year and will include TV and marketing support. The Regal Academy toy line will be unveiled at this month’s Fall Toy Preview in Dallas.

DK Set to Publish Series of Nonfiction Books with American Girl

MGA Relaunches Bratz with a Fresh Look

The Bratz brand is back in the market with a new look and a line of products revamped to capture the imagination of the modern-day girl. MGA Entertainment has entered multiple licensing agreements to launch a diverse range of Bratz products.

Accessory Innovations will create Bratz inspired fashion accessories. The new line of products including handbags, backpacks, lunch totes, water bottles, luggage, small leather goods, cosmetic bags, gadget bags, and umbrellas will launch next year in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.

Charmsies will bring an assortment of hair charms and stickers for girls in the U.S.

High Point Design will create a range of Bratz consumer products, including, socks, slippers, leggings, and tights, that draw inspiration from the Bratz doll lines. These products will launch next year.

Little Charmers’ Licensing Program Continues to Grow Across Toy Categories

The newly signed partners include Stoneridge Cycle Ltd. for bicycles, scooters, skateboards, inline skates, and protective gear in Canada; Pamson Pacific Enterprises for outdoor seasonal toys; Primary Colors Corporation for cookies and fruit snacks; and MediBadge Inc. for stickers and sticker sets within the medical and financial institution channels.

These partners join a merchandising program led by master toy partner Spin Master, which recently released a collection aimed at kids ages 2 to 5, and includes mini figurines, plush, dolls, and role play.

Adora Launches Third Designed by Kids for Kids Program

Mar9.AdoraContestAdora is on the search for its 2016 Young Designer, to help design an outfit for an 18” Friends Doll to be available in next year’s Friends line. The Designed for Kids by Kids Program is in its third year and was created to empower young girls to get creative and design something they’re proud of.

This year’s theme is “Adora by the Shore,” where kids are asked to design a beach themed outfit on the paper doll provided on the entry form. Kids can draw, color, paint, collage, and let their imaginations run wild while creating the design. The Adora Dolls Design Committee is accepting entry forms via email or regular mail.

The 2015 Young Designer, Isabella from Florida, drew a cowgirl design, including a cropped plaid top that ties, white knit shirt, and denim jeans with little white stars stitched along the top. Isabella also gave her financial donation from Adora to her local non-profit, Maitland Academy of the Performing Arts.
