WBIE, TT Games, LEGO, DC Entertainment Collaborate for LEGO DC Super-Villains Game

JAKKS Pacific, WBCP Partner for DC Super Hero Girls Global Licensing Program

Jakks_DCSuperHeroGirlsJAKKS Pacific Inc. partnered with Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP), on behalf of DC Entertainment, for a multi-year, global licensing deal to manufacture, market, and distribute large action pose dolls, dress-up, and Get Ready for Action items based on the DC Super Hero Girls universe.

DC Super Hero Girls follows female Super Heroes and Super-Villains of the DC universe during their high school years, before they discover their full super power potential. Each character has their own storyline that explores what teen life is like as a Super Hero, including discovering unique abilities, nurturing powers, and mastering the fundamentals of being a hero.

The DC Super Hero Girls line will be available at retailers this fall.

DC Super Hero Girls Team Up With Fifth Harmony for Girl Power Anthem

Rubie’s Costume Co. Partners With Warner Bros. Consumer Products for Suicide Squad Collection

image002Rubie’s Costume Co. Inc., has partnered with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, on behalf of DC Entertainment, to produce licensed costumes, accessories, and masks inspired by Warner Bros. Pictures’ film, Suicide Squad, opening in theaters on August 5.

Available in teen, adult, and plus sizes, the collection features DC’s super-villains, including Harley Quinn, The Joker, Deadshot, Killer Croc, and Katana. The line also offers specially designed costume kits for fans to transform into their favorite antihero.

The Suicide Squad Collection from Rubie’s will be available this Halloween season.

Puma Launches Superman Kids’ Collaboration Collection

Puma has partnered with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, on behalf of DC Entertainment, to create a kids spring/summer collection inspired by Superman.

The Puma x Superman collection includes classic footwear styles in mini versions, available in Superman’s suit colors, featuring the iconic “S-Shield” on the reverse. Available for kids ages 2 to 12, Puma’s iconic silhouettes including the Suede, Carson Runner and Cabana Racer feature modern Superman graphics on the side and logo insole. The collection also features accessories including the cape, a backpack, apparel, and graphic T-shirts.

The Puma x Superman collection is available in Puma stores, at puma.com, and at select kids’ stores worldwide.

DC Entertainment has announced the launch of a DC Super Hero Girls original graphic novel, titled DC Super Hero Girls: Finals Crisis to be, written by Shea Fontana and illustrated by Yancey Labat.

Diane Nelson to Head WBCP, Brad Globe to Step Down

Consumer Products (WBCP) to her current responsibilities as president, DC Entertainment (DCE), and president and chief content officer, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment (WBIE). The announcement was made today by Kevin Tsujihara, the chairman and CEO of Warner Bros.

At DCE, Nelson currently leads efforts to strategically integrate the DC Comics, Vertigo, and Mad brands into Warner Bros. Entertainment and its content and distribution businesses. For WBIE, her responsibilities include overseeing the development of digitally powered console and mobile games for WBIE, including those based on DC characters and other Warner Bros. properties.

WBCP, DC Entertainment Announce 2015 Superman Hall of Heroes Inductees

Warner Bros. Consumer Products and DC Entertainment have announced this year’s 2015 Superman Hall of Heroes. The program is a gift-giving program that offers a fun and inspirational way for fans to pay tribute to honor their personal heroes by submitting their photo and story online.

Each year, the Superman Hall of Heroes program inducts a new class of nationally recognized heroes with different backgrounds. This year’s honorees include:

  •  Kyle Carpenter, the second living Marine since the Vietnam War, and the youngest Marine to be decorated with the Medal of Honor.  His story of bravery, both in combat and in recovery from life-threatening injury, is inspiring to all.
  • Sean McComb, one of the youngest National Teachers of the Year ever, earning this honor at the age of 30.  His dedication to both his students and his profession is what truly defines a great teacher and he regularly goes above and beyond to make sure his students realize their full potential.
  • Mario Andretti, a legend throughout his career in motorsports, He was not only able to win at every level, he was also able to master every discipline in which he chose to race.  Andretti took the checkered flag 111 times in his career, collecting national and world championships along the way.  He is admired for his warmth, dignity and class and gives back to the community through organizations like Meals on Wheels, The Fund to Benefit Children and Youth and his various efforts in support of our troops and wounded warriors.
  • John Walsh, known internationally as a crime fighter, victims’ advocate and host of “America’s Most Wanted” television show.  Walsh and his wife helped pass the Missing Children’s Act of 1982 and the Missing Children’s Assistance Act of 1984. The latter bill founded the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. He never sought the role, but fighting for justice has been his mission since July 27, 1981 when his six-year-old son, Adam, was abducted from a Hollywood, Fla., mall.

Batman Unlimited, DC Super Friends Animated Content to Debut Following Successful Toy Lines

Warner Bros. Consumer Products, DC Entertainment, and Warner Bros. Animation have created a wave of new content inspired by toy lines from Mattel and Fisher-Price. Batman Unlimited, based on Mattel’s new toy line, will launch later this year with new made-for-video movies and shorts that will extend the play experience for kids.
