Discovery Consumer Products and Uniqlo, a brand of Fast Retailing Co. Ltd., partnered for a new collection of unisex youth T-shirts. This marks the first global partnership between Uniqlo and Discovery Consumer Products and will be supported with a worldwide digital marketing campaign, in-store promotion, and cross promotion between the two brands. Following the announcement that CPLG will represent the Parental Advisory brand, the first wave of market leading licensees will include Trademark, Misirli, and Brand Clothing International.
Branded Clothing International will feature a line of nightwear and kids wear with the brand logo. Trademark will produce a range of apparel that includes tops, sweatshirts, hoodies, joggers, leggings, dresses, and bags. Misirli will have a range of socks and hosiery. All three partners will launch in product this spring and summer.
Turner’s Cartoon Network EMEA adds partners to the apparel and accessories category for The Powerpuff Girls in the UK. The announcement follows the recent unveiling of London-based fashion label Fyodor Golan’s line inspired by the animated series.

In Spain, Miraculous Ladybug toys from Bandai sold out during the holiday season and all licensing categories are now covered. Top deals include Panini for stickers, sticker albums, and the official magazine; a perfume line from Air-Val; books from Planeta; board games from Educa Borrás; back-to-school products from Safta; and arts and crafts from Cife. Licensing Works! will expand the Mundo Lanugo licensing program initiatives for its client Lanugo Inc., a multi-platform Spanish language preschool property.
In December, a line-up of Mundo Lanugo Christmas carols were released. Licensing Works! plans to expand its outreach and currently seeks licensing partners for this year’s Christmas merchandise, which will include plush, books, toys, games, music, ornaments, apparel, packaged grocery, live touring shows, and in-store promotional programs.
This January, Mundo Lanugo was featured at Macy’s in an expanded Three Kings celebration for the fourth consecutive year as part of the New Year celebrations.
Licensing Works! brokered a new deal for client Intellivision Productions Inc. that awards T-Line Design the right to manufacture and sell key categories including T-shirts, sweatshirts, underwear, swimwear, and headwear. Licensed territories include the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
NBCUniversal Brand Development, Affliction, and The Buckle Inc. (Buckle) partnered to launch a lifestyle apparel collection for young adults inspired by the Fast & Furious franchise. Select products from the Fast & Furious by Affliction Collection are available now, exclusively in Buckle stores and on buckle.com. The complete line will debut nationwide early next year, tied to the release of the new film, The Fate of the Furious in April.
