Spin Master Expands PAW Patrol Roll Patrol Road Tour in the U.S.

Spin Master Ltd PAW PatrolSpin Master Corp. will debut the third annual PAW Patrol Roll Patrol Road Tour, a multi-city tour that combines the toy line with the preschool. The tour kicks off on July 28 and will run until October, traveling throughout North America.

Each PAW Patrol Roll Patrol Road Tour stop is free to the public and will make stops at select Walmart, Toys “R” Us, and Target retail locations in 13 different markets. Kids can explore the inside of the life-size PAW Patroller, meet PAW Patrol characters, and reenact rescue missions through an interactive play experience featuring the new Sea Patrol theme. Genius Brands, Nat Geo Kids Sign Broadcast License Deal for Thomas Edison’s Secret Lab in Latin America

EdisonGenius Brands International Inc. signed a broadcast licensing agreement with Nat Geo Kids that will bring Genius Brand’s animated children’s series Thomas Edison’s Secret Lab to viewers throughout Latin America. Genius Brands also appointed Latin American independent licensing agency Tycoon Enterprises as the pan-Latin American licensing agent for the Thomas Edison’s Secret Lab brand.

Thomas Edison’s Secret Lab premiered on Nat Geo Kids in all Spanish-speaking markets this month and will premiere in all Portuguese-speaking markets in September. Tycoon will work with Genius Brands to develop and execute a licensing and merchandising program. Categories include toy, apparel, accessories, school supplies, electronics, collectibles, novelty, and publishing. The retail program will begin to rollout next year. Read the rest of this entry »

The Wild Adventures of Blinky Bill to Launch on Nat Geo Kids in Latin America

blinkybillStudio 100 Media and National Geographic received exclusive pay-TV rights of the CGI animated series The Wild Adventures of Blinky Bill for the Latin American territories. The deal was arranged by Studio 100’s exclusive distribution partner for Latin America, Comarex.

The Wild Adventures of Blinky Bill will air on National Geographic’s kids’ multiplatform Nat Geo Kids. The show launches on July 1 in Latin America and Brazil this September. The show targets kids ages 4 to 7. Read the rest of this entry »

eOne Adds New PJ Masks Broadcast, Merchandise Partners in Australia

eOne_PJEntertainment One (eOne) signed a new free to air broadcast partner for its preschool superhero series PJ Masks in Australia where consumer products are poised to launch this summer.

PJ Masks debuted on air in Australia last year on Disney Junior. The show will expand its audience reach when broadcast is extended to terrestrial channel ABC KIDS, which will begin airing series one from in July. RickAndMortyCryptozoic Entertainment will release Rick and Morty: Anatomy Park — The Game, which will be available at retailers nationwide on July 12. The game is based on the “Anatomy Park” episode of Adult Swim’s animated series Rick and Morty.

In Rick and Morty: Anatomy Park — The Game, players become characters from the episode as they try to build Anatomy Park. The game sends players into the body of Ruben, a homeless man, in order to save the microscopic amusement park built from his organs. Players attempt to score the most Victory Points by the end of the game.

Genius Brands, Southwest Airlines Partner for Kids’ Entertainment Series on Flights Nationwide

GeniusBrands_ThomasEdisonSecretLabsGenius Brands International Inc. will add three of its animated series to Southwest Airline’s Wi-Fi- equipped inflight entertainment portal. Beginning this July, SpacePOP, Thomas Edison’s Secret Lab and Baby Genius will be available for the first time inflight on customer’s personal devices during travel.

Genius Brands content is designed to provide positive messages for young viewers. The new deal allows Southwest to expand upon its kid-friendly entertainment choices for families across the country that will be travelling this summer.

eOne’s Peppa Pig Takes Home Trio of Awards at Multimir Children’s Festival

Technicolor Animation Productions, SIE, PGS Partner to Create Sly Cooper TV Series

SlyCooperTechnicolor Animation Productions and Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) partnered to create a computer-generated animated TV series based on the PlayStation videogame series Sly Cooper. Global distribution—along with licensing and merchandising rights—will be managed by PGS.

Sly Cooper follows the adventures of an irresistibly charismatic raccoon, a modern-day Robin Hood, who restores justice to his city one theft at a time. Sly is aided by his two best friends, a muscular hippo named Murray and a brainy turtle named Bentley. Hot on Sly’s trail is Inspector Carmelita Fox, a morally upright cop with an unfortunate crush on the charming bandit, as well as a band of villains.
