FremantleMedia Kids & Family (FMK) and Thomas Cook partnered to bring Danger Mouse activities to the Thomas Cook and Airtours kids’ clubs this summer.
Forty Thomas Cook and Airtours kids’ clubs will feature special Danger Mouse-themed two-hour sessions, with secret activities that revolve around the TV series. The partnership will kickoff in July and continue until September. The initiative is expected to reach approximately 65,000 children from the UK traveling on holiday with Thomas Cook. Hasbro Inc. was named global master toy licensee by Sutikki, the new kids and family division of Bento Box Entertainment. The line of toys will based on the new preschool series, Moon and Me from Andrew Davenport’s Foundling Bird.
Inspired by tales of toys that come to life when nobody is looking, Moon and Me is the comical story of a special friendship between two characters from completely different worlds. Thomas & Friends, from Mattel Inc., kicked off its first global brand campaign with a year-long marketing program, Set Friendship in Motion.
The campaign aims to help preschoolers strengthen friendship skills, such as collaboration, communication, sharing, manners, kindness, and the abilities to express and understand feelings and emotions. UK and LA based independent film and TV producer Komixx Entertainment Ltd. secured a development deal with BBC Worldwide for Stanley the Can-Do Hamster. The animated TV series is based on the Stanley picture books by children’s author and illustrator William Bee.
BBC Worldwide will be the executive producers on the animated series and have exclusive rights to all other IP business rights globally, including transmitting the series on their worldwide Cbeebies channels. Guru Studio appointed Brand Central LLC as its exclusive licensing agency to represent the new CGI-animated preschool series True and the Rainbow Kingdom. The Netflix Original series will debut this summer, with a second season set to air in the fall. The series will also make its Canadian premiere on TVO this summer. Dot To Dot Productions will produce the new 2-D-animated preschool series School of Roars. CBeebies acquired the series in the UK, and Sprout acquired the series in the U.S. ZDF Enterprises will handle worldwide distribution, and Creative Europe will handle further investment in the production.
School of Roars follows five mini monsters through their school day as they learn “monstery lessons” in math, music, cooking, and life. The show will be supported by interactive elements including game apps, story apps, and a website.
School of Roars will be animated at Dot To Dot’s in-house studio and is expected to air this year. Other shows that will be completed at the studio include CBeebies’ mixed media project, Footy Pups, which was also created by Dot To Dot.
