Discovery Consumer Products, Macy’s Launch Say Yes to the Dress Special Occasion Dresses

DiscoverMacys_SayYesToPromDiscovery Consumer Products and Macy’s will expand the Say Yes to Prom partnership with the debut of the Say Yes to the Dress juniors line for special occasions. This follows the companies’ partnership for a prom dress and jewelry line, which launched earlier this year.

 Available at 200 Macy’s stores and at macys.com, the Say Yes to the Dress juniors collection aims to help young women and juniors as they celebrate milestone moments, including homecoming, formals, galas, and more. The new line features dresses at accessible price points.

Inspired by TLC’s Say Yes to Prom initiative to help teens who may not be able to afford a prom dress, the Say Yes to Prom collection launched at Macy’s last spring and featured more than two dozen gowns and a full line of accessories.

CPLG to Represent Yale University Across Europe

Yale_CPLGCPLG was appointed by Yale University to represent the university’s brand across Europe and Russia. Founded in 1701, Yale is an American Ivy league university based in New Haven, Connecticut.

CPLG will develop a licensing program that targets adults, teens, and kids across apparel, accessories, bags, and stationery. Products will feature the Yale branding, including its logos and the university’s mascot, Handsome Dan the bulldog. Universal Music Spain signed as the first licensee and will offer a range of men’s apparel in Zara stores worldwide this month.

 

Thomas & Friends, Pottery Barn Kids Launch Exclusive Home Décor Collection

ThomasFriendsBedroom_PotteryBarnMattel’s Thomas & Friends brand partnered with Pottery Barn Kids to debut an exclusive licensed collection of Thomas & Friends home décor and accessories. The Thomas & Friends from Pottery Barn Kids collection includes more than 20 pieces that feature bedding, decorative accessories, tabletop, luggage, lighting, pajamas, and toys.

The collection incorporates artwork based on the original illustrations of Thomas and his friends from the 1945 The Railway Series by the Rev. W Awdry. The collection is available for purchase now on potterybarnkids.com and in select Pottery Barn Kids stores nationwide beginning on September 22.

LeSportsac, Nintendo Partner for a New Super Mario Travel Collection

LeSport_NintendoLeSportsac and Nintendo partnered to introduce a collection of totes, backpacks, and accessories inspired by Super Mario. The new line will launch during this holiday season.

The collaboration features two designs—Power-Up Burst and Mario Travel—created exclusively for the LeSportsac x Nintendo collection. Power-Up Burst is inspired by the classic game’s power-up items, including Fire Flowers, Super Mushrooms, 1-Up Mushrooms, Super Stars, coins, Goombas, and Koopas. Céline Dion to Debut New Lifestyle Brand at Nordstrom Stores in August

CelineDionNordstrom Inc. partnered with Céline Dion to become the first retail department store in the U.S. to launch her new collection of handbags, luggage sets, and small accessories this fall.

Epic Rights and PROMINENT Brand + Talent, Dion’s exclusive representatives for global branding, licensing, and social media marketing, and The Bugatti Group, her manufacturing partner, collaborated with Nordstrom to offer a range of 50 new styles designed in collaboration with the singer.

The new collection will be available at Nordstrom locations nationwide and online beginning this August.

Genius Brands International Appoints New Licensees for Rainbow Rangers
