Smiley’s apparel collections are available at retail stores including, Etam, Jules Lidl, Prenatal, Cool Cat, Undiz, Joshua Sanders, Anya Hindmarch, Topshop, Splash, Lifestyle, Bossini, and Best Seller for 2016. SmileyWorld also launched a line of kids and baby apparel in the French retail chain, Orchestra.
Fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) has signed over 10 major licensees to the brand’s Taste Happiness line this year, which will bring distribution to global retail chains including FNAC, Aldi, Lidl, Carrefour, Leclerc, and Auchan. Smiley World launched a new food line, Smiley Kitchen and will also partner with one of Europe’s Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) chains, Quick, for a campaign for their kid’s meal.
Selfridges has partnered with Smiley to create a new digital promotional campaign to launch the retailer’s first shoppable app. The app will feature new Smiley designs called Nu icons, and a selection of Smileys from the SmileyWorld dictionary.
Smiley continues to grow its homeware line with new deals and renewals signed with Butlers, Gers, Zak, T&F, Leifheit, and Pengo.
The SmileyWorld publishing program added three new licensees last year and has new titles that will be available this year, including YA novels and the Italian publisher Gruppo Edicart Edizioni who will launch the first SmileyWorld range this year.
