Rovio Extends Angry Birds Licensing Program

AngryBirdsRovio Entertainment introduced licensing partners for Angry Birds in North America with new, renewed, and ongoing deals.

Partners include FAB for bags, backpacks, and lunch kits; Ranir for children’s oral care; Merske for ride-on and pretend-play toys; WEI Sales/Wells Dairy for frozen confections; Blue Spring Partners/Fin Fun for wearable blankets and towel wraps; Crocs for footwear and Jibbitz charms; and Brown Trout for calendars. Rovio also secured promotions with Sonic Restaurants and Hostess Brands, which will release more than 10 million co-branded packaged bakery foods.

Additionally, Rovio renewed deals with a number of long-time partners, including Brunswick Bowling for branded bowling alleys; Decopac for cake decorating; Dynamic Displays for event balloons; Handcraft Manufacturing for children’s packaged and hanging underwear; Hybrid Promotions for children’s apparel; Inkology for back-to-school stationery; Komar Kids for children’s sleepwear; Toy Factory for amusement plush; Radz II for novelty candy dispensers; The Ziegenfelder Co. for frozen ice pops; Duncan Enterprises/Chesapeake Ceramics for DIY ceramic pottery; and Bulls I Toys for novelty toys.

These licensing arrangements build on ongoing partnerships with Bentex Group for children’s swimwear; Checks in the Mail for personalized checks; ES Originals for footwear; Innovative Concepts in Entertainment for arcade machines; Jay Franco & Sons for bedding, bath, and room decor; Fabric Traditions for fabric by the yard; World Tech Toys for R/C toys; and Pez Candy for Pez.
