INK Media, Animaccord Unveil New Masha and the Bear Cinema Deal for MENA

Cinema release_MENA_Ep42_05INK Media and Animaccord unveiled a new deal for the theatrical release of the Masha and the Bear cartoon, which will premiere in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region this month.

INK Media and Animaccord entered a deal with Spacetoon Pictures to bring Season 2 of Masha and the Bear to big screens across the region. The theatrical release will take place at Vox Cinemas, Novo, Real Cinemas, Roxy, and more. Spacetoon will distribute a movie that combines 13 episodes of the cartoon’s second season in one screening.

 

 

Tom Brady Returns to Top Spot on NFLPA Top 50 Player Sales List

12-01_Top50_2018_Q4_RD6Tom Brady started and ended the season No. 1 on the NFL Players Association (NFLPA) Top 50 Player Sales List. The list is based on total sales of officially licensed NFL player-identified merchandise. Brady also started and ended the year atop the list in 2016. Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott finished at No. 2.

Quarterbacks led the offensive positions, with 18 wide receivers accounting for 14 players on the list, while running backs have six, tight ends have four, and only one spot is filled by a lineman. New Zealand’s TVNZ Renews Beyblade Burst for Season Two

BeybladeBurstSunrights Inc.’s animated series Beyblade Burst was renewed for a second season by New Zealand’s TVNZ. Season two, under the banner Beyblade Burst Evolution, is now airing on TVNZ.

The second season takes the Bladers on exciting international adventures, where Valt travels to Spain after being scouted by the prestigious Spanish club, BC Sol. Valt and friends face daily challenges in their fight to make it to the World League.

DHX Media Makes New Executive Appointments

DHX_ExecsDHX Media appointed Aaron Ames to the position of chief operating officer (COO), Josh Scherba to president, and Anne Loi to the newly created role of chief commercial officer (CCO). DHX Media co-founder Steven DeNure will transition out of his role as president and COO within the next month.

In his role as COO, Ames will be responsible for the overall operations of the company and will oversee its broadcast channels, DHX Television, and its licensing agency, CPLG. As President Scherba will oversee the content business, including development, production, and distribution, as well as its YouTube-based kids’ network, WildBrain. As CCO, Loi will oversee key external partnerships, content production and financing, and business analytics.

Care Bears, Pusheen Come Together for Cuddly Collaboration

CareBears_PusheenCare Bears entered an apparel collaboration with Pusheen as part of its Colors of Change campaign this year. Care Bears x Pusheen will launch on April 28 at JapanLA, as well as japanla.com and Pusheen’s online store, heychickadee.com. The collection will feature T-shirts, dresses, and more.

National Stationery Show and SURTEX Unveil the Boulevard

SURTEX_2017The National Stationery Show (NSS) and SURTEX introduce the Boulevard, a new show space that highlights the synergies between industries and events.  The Boulevard is the new home for the shared social media lounge, daily activities, demonstrations, and the Theatre, featuring seminars and speakers that address the nuances of industries. NSS and SURTEX take place next month at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.
